Warning: Your graphics device has encountered a problem

Updating FSUIPC fixed it for me. Realised I hadn’t ever done it since MSFS released.

WOW…didn’t realize FSUIPC was still alive. Haven’t played with that for nearly 10 years or so.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

Yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

Issue happen for me and friends first time after latest MSFS SIM Update. We had never any issues before…

Are you using DX12?

No

Are you using DLSS?

No

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

I have been experiencing this same behaviour since last update. I have tried using 531.29 + DX12 and also DX11. I managed to have 1 flight with no issues but after rebooting the problem showed up again.

I did a clean installation also and still have the same issue.

I don’t feel like this issue has been solved.

Any ideas?

“I had the problem with the latest versions of NVIDIA drivers and MSFS, every flight after a few minutes and once on the menu before launching the flight. I switched to DX11 and no more problem. I did a 10-hour flight yesterday (Brussels - Beijing) and no bugs or error messages. That’s my contribution. Good evening.”

You should be completely sure that you have rolled back the drivers to version 531.29! Download from the Nvidia website, remove your graphics card from the list of devices, reboot your computer and install 531.29.

Thank you BlackPilot4570.
I am trying now after erasing the device driver and installing the old driver.
I am using [526.98 release date 2022.11.16] and so far this seems to work. If all goes well I will move to 531.29.

Again thanks for your help

Problem again for me since last update says GPU Enounted problems maybe its over clocked which its not RTX4090

Yesterday I got this message for the first time and crash. My configuration is RTX2070, i7-9700, 32GB ram. My settings are all medium, LOD is 100. In my opinion, either the last update messed something up, or the latest nVidia drivers

531.79 has just been released, haven’t tested it with DX12 yet.

EDIT: Nothing in the release notes about MSFS.

I have started to keep my hopes low. Feels there is something fishy going on. Wouldnt be surprised if we are acting beta-testers for some new technologies without knowing about it…

if users use DX12(beta) , then yes… but the marker “(beta)” should make it clear enough

Well, it could as well be for something else. Cloudbased…
So, no. I wasnt thinking about DX12 as I havn´t activated it and still experience this bug since September 2022.

ah… then you have the original issue, where users need to reduce system load ( underclock gpu mem was often mentioned ). We are only relativly sure about that the issue comes from the driver (or may be a usage of a specific dx12 feature) , if users get the issue after installing nvidia driver greater than 531.29.

Well. I think this is due to the optimization needed to be done after they almost wrecked the PC-sims FPS after the xbox-release.
And they are still trimming the numbers while more and more players are getting the bug. They should: roll back and make it right.
There is probably some win in this game that we are not getting to know about. Could be testing cloudbased gaming as well as pre-caching geometry or something else.

A bug that crashes game for plenty shouldnt last for 7 moths and with growing numbers. Period.

Your graphics card. Which probably runs all your games without a problem probably just is a faulty one overnight. As a coincidence its just one game suffering from the fault, and the fault, by coincidence arrived with a simupdate. Congrats.

Myself I just saw a video how to re-install the game. Figured I just do the first part (uninstall). I am in that state now. Sad to say, that is, as this game was fabolus before September 2022, for me…

I have been having this issue for around 4 months now and recently I have rolled back the drivers to the December 2022 variant, to no avail. Then I reinstalled Windows from scratch. First time loading into the sim, I got the error again.

Specs
R9 7950x
RTX 4090

Updated driver version 531.79 now available! Go on… I dare you!

Makes no difference for me personally.
