Hoping you’ll be able supply those various scripts for us x-touch lovers.

It should be available a few days after SU10 is released.

The Plane relies on a number of advanced feature in SU10, tested and verified to be working in latest SU10 beta, but one can never be 100% sure what will be in the final SU release, until it is actually released.

Just after SU10 is released ties in with our place in the release schedule by Just Flight, and gives us a high probability of any issues caused by changes in SU10 release version, can be dealt with, before the first Pilots get the plane.

Great, thanks for the update!

Oh, a question. Will there be an option to turn off the copilot in the modified version? I set the weight to 0 in the default, but it goes back to 170 lbs and the copilot remains in view in exterior shots.

What exactly do you mean by " I set the weight to 0 in the default,"

What Default ? The weight and balance Control in World map before you fly, or the the flightmodel.cfg (station 1) ?

The weight & balance in the sim, I don’t have access to anything in the config files, I don’t have the beta. On some of the after-market aircraft, like the Warrior, the EFB lets you choose if you have a copilot in the cockpit, or not. Others have a clickspot on the dashboard. I just wondered if something like that would be an option for the 172 mod.

So I was not wrong :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

They are labeling it near-study level with failures and wear and tear, it’s a mod of the Classic 172.

I have Standard MSFS game, is this going to allow me to mode the stock G1000 to steam gauges?

I don’t think so, but N6722C can probably tell you definitively.

NO, its a MOD fro the Premium C172SP Classic Steam Gauge Plane

It’s so much more than just adding few failures & wear & tear !!

All non-Gps instruments now are simulated to their manufacturer’s manuals.
(ie The KAP140 AP is 99% simulated as the Real World KAP140).

I challenge you to find any Functional differences !!

Garmins GNS530/GNS430 are the PMS50 enhanced version with additional functionality.

The whole electrical system has been “re-wired” to match the RL Plane, simulating correct battery voltages / currents , relays, effects of low voltage, effects of temperature, overheating Starter Motor, thickening oil at cold temperature, engine flooding, spark plug fouling , gear damage & wear with hard landings – the list goes on !!

Cockpit lighting is significantly enhanced.

Most cockpit functions are now fully External Hardware compatible, and compatible with AirManager.

With this MOD, its far from being an Asobo “Stock” Aircraft.

Thanks for the more detailed and complete response. I was just giving him the thumbnail, though sounds like he’d need to upgrade to deluxe AND buy the mod. I bought the Deluxe version initially specifically to fly the Classic 172, so this is very exciting for me.

I saw that the mod has been released on the JF store. Is there a plan to improve the flight model after the SU10 unlocks the files?

Yes . we have a Commercial Pilot with over 500 hours in the C172, (and a lot of MSFS flight modeling experience) working on an updated Flight Model, that will take advantage off all possible improvements made possible by SU10 (and beyond) …

Unlike Ae#####soft, we welcome and thank him for his help, expertise and input.

Also, if anyone who has purchased the C172 Mod, want to MOD the flight model, they are welcome to do so, on the understanding that it may not be considered to be an OFFICIAL Mod by WB-SIM, and therefore may not be supported by WB-SIM

With SU10 Beta these file are available.
aircraft.cfg
engines.cfg
flight_model.cfg
systems.cfg

I wish the Carenado V35 would have these files available.

This looks very promising. Is there a Discord link for support on their server? I’ve looked without success. Got an email from Just Flight saying this was available at a very reasonable price. Exciting times!

Hello @N6722C,

Bought the product two days ago (v1.0.4) and I think its really great. It’s much more advanced than the normal cessna and electrical system seems amazing.

I have two comments for you to see if you can please tell me how to proceed:

  1. I see in VR one of the fuses (autopilot fuse) changing flipping between a black and bigger design and a white smaller design, if I look it with the corner of the eye, I can see the fuse changing its texture and shape 2 times per second. Is this normal?
  2. When travelling at 8500ft full loaded, at 75% power, mixture leaned and 95-100kt 12ºC OAT, fuel consumption is around 4-5gph. In my experience as a c172 pilot student in real life I was expecting 7-8gph (as well as in Asobo c172). Am I doing something wrong? Is this a normal behaviour?

Great work there!
