"we are unable to sync your data with the cloud at the moment"

Hello,

It seems like every time I’m away from MSFS for a week or so, there’s a new reason of why the sim wont work. the latest is “we are unable to sync your data with the cloud at the moment”

I’ve read other topics in the forum suggesting signing out of and into the Xbox app. The trouble is that I’m not signed into the Xbox app gaming account (only store account) and clicking sign in does absolutely nothing. I’ve even tried reinstalling the Xbox app with no luck.

Any ideas would be apreciated

go to settings in xbox app (not the obvious sign in thing, the one in the settings of the xbox app)
sign in from there
change account or sign out
but sign in again with your usual account

I just had the same thing…

Okay thank you. Somehow managed to get this to work after following a work around. Still rather annoying!

Hi all together,

I had the same problem after updating my emailadress for my windows account.

I found the solution, it’s quite easy.

Download x box companion app for windows. Ignore the information that new apps are available. Log out and log in again.

No problems with msfs 2020 anymore. Cloud sync works. Then updates.

I hope it helps.

I also tried the xbox app. Log out and in. This didn’t work. So I used the older xbox companion app which worked finally.

Regards,

Dirk

Just got the message for the first time. I just clicked the Try Again button and it worked. I do not use XBOX I use PC so maybe that is a difference why it worked by just clicking that Try Again button???
