That feel i had with live-weather pre su7. When i got that type of weather it was kind of normal. Then sometimes i could get really awesome skies that i could just stand still watching after landing. Thats what i do IRL too if i see a unique weather forming. I didn’t compare it with real weather i just accepted it and told to my self this is the real weather.
Hope they can make the weather feel unique everytime we fly again. It was the main thing for me with this sim. I started a flight and was exited about how the weather was looking. Now i know exactly how it will look like if i’m not flying early in the morning before 07:00Z.

Just had a switch again.
This flight is in central England started before 9 am
After 9 Am the clouds switched
You can see how they have lost smoothness after the switch…

Thank you for showing these, keep them coming! There is hope, since the weather engine is still there, just wiped over by “blending”. Incredible how this has avoided detection for almost a year now.

The cynic in me will still say: or ignored on purpose by asobo as it is intentional - for “performance increase” reasons…
Every day I switch on hoping to see sweeping skies like those in the first pic by ZodiaLight above, and immediately switch off as it’s same old scattered puffy cloud rubbish again.
Today and yesterday near East Midlands EGNX there is/was a wonderful high level overcast. The sim produced apocalyptic towering CBs as usual. What I can’t understand is how few, including some prominent Youtubers, do not comment on this or see any problems.

If it’s for performance reasons, why have it come, and go? Why choose to have better performance after 8AM? If you were right it should be like the post-8AM weather all the time.
No, this is more likely a bug……unless that is the bug, and it’s supposed to be degraded all the time!

Missed the switch though. But i got picture of a sunset (custom time) and then i set the camera on those clouds after the switch.

Not a thing that confirms the issue just wanted to show how amazing the weather engine can be and how i remember it with unique type of weather everytime i used the sim. Now during the day the weather looks mostly same everywhere i fly. On the morning it looks varied all the time.

Can confirm I am experiencing this too, switch happens at around 0700z every day where the clouds become generic and lose their formed shapes

I don’t have any images before hand to back it up, but I just had one of those weather changes at 22:09 UK time. It didn’t look particularly great before the change, but the cloud formations shifted slightly, but kept their overall position.

I tried to reproduce this today.
Berlin time local 08:30 to 09:30. Because here was nice weather, I used live time / weather and started in Dublin. However, I have not been able to notice the weather switch.
Just to be sure: 07:00 zulu = 09:00 local in Berlin, or 06:00 zulu, as I thought to read in between?
Is that only with SU10 beta or also with SU9?
Keep trying to catch this …

I am on su10 but i think the issue might be on du 9 too. Perry would now about su 9

i’m using su10 but i’ve seen switches in su9 back to su7. but i have never noted the time before, In su10 i noted the time and tried again and it happened around the same time next morning, I can try again and see if i notice the switch. Maybe they have found the issue causing it?

Wow that’s a good capture and a really great example of why the live weather is so inconsistent, it went from looking awesome in your first pic to really awful after the change.
The devs need to prioritise this

Perfect video to show the problem. Clouds look completely realistic to begin with then change to scattered generic rubbish. I hope that this is being passed on to the devs.
Unfortunately I don’t think we are supposed to be getting the “before” clouds any more. I worry that they will “fix” it by going the other way and rather than restoring the original style clouds, they will remove them altogether and leave us with the scattered generic ones.
