What 3rd party aircrafts did you get and how do you rate them?

I have all of them. Here is my quick take.

AT SIMULATIONS:

  • Michel Colomban Cri-Cri
Quirky, twitchy. Overall I don’t fly it much - too short of a range and VFR only. Floats version isn’t amphibious - so can only start on water.

  • Piaggio/Focke-Wulf P149
Gorgeous model, old pure-steam gauge goodness. Slow. Unfortunately, too buggy. Transponder can’t be auto-tuned to ATC requests and the aircraft messes up both transponders and comm volume in other aircraft after using this one - good enough reason for me to avoid flying it until it’s fixed.

BLACKBOX SIMULATIONS:

  • Cessna L-19 Bird Dog
Great fun to fly, love the amphibious version. Creaky. Cockpit isn’t the most beautiful thing in the sim. REALLY fun to fly. Trim properly. Slow. Highly recommended though

BREDOK3D:

  • Eurofighter Typhoon EF
    Garbage in every department.

  • Boeing 737 MAX
Garbage in every department except for the outside model, which they didn’t even do (sourced from another party)

BT STUDIOS:

  • Kitfox STi
Garbage. Needs a long runway to land - too much idle thrust. Abandoned by developer. Avoid like the plague.

CARENADO:

  • Cessna C182T Skylane
Eh. Looks good. Annoying engine sound. Flies OK. Not enough reason to fly often.

  • Mooney M20R Ovation
REALLY fun. One of the best aircraft in my hangar and the best one Carenado has done so far. Highly recommended.

  • Piper PA-28R Arrow III
Nice and slow newer Arrow. Flies OK now after the patch. Some minor issues remain, but it’s pretty good to fly and is gorgeous.

  • Piper PA-44 Seminole
Really fun twin. Looks gorgeous, flies pretty well. I recommend it.

  • WACO YMF-5
Gorgeous, tough to fly - the way it should be. All steam gauges. Really fun. Sounds amazing. Highly recommended.

DC DESIGNS:

  • F-15 Eagle
Fast supersonic jet. Don’t expect complexity - it’s a simple implementation, but looks and works great, especially with CodenameJack’s mod. Really fun. Recommended

FLYING IRON SIMULATIONS:

  • Spitfire L.F Mk IXc
Work of art. One of the best aircraft available. REALLY high bar was set with this one. Tough to fly - will challenge and reward you. Can’t say enough great things.

GOLDEN AGE SIMULATIONS:

  • Kinner B-2 Sportwing
Wicked ugly low-res textures. Historic aircraft, really fun to fly actually, but is an eyesore. Lots of cool little extras implemented. But it’s free now, so go get it.

INDIAFOXTECHO:

  • Aermacchi MB-339
Great way to start with military jets. Nice trainer. Flies great, gorgeous to look at.

  • Rutan Model 61 Long-EZ
Quirky stuff. It’s OK… I don’t fly much cause it doesn’t have an autopilot.

  • T-45C Goshawk
Pretty complex subsonic military jet. Pleasure to fly. Gorgeous. LOTS to learn. Highly recommended.

IRIS SIMULATIONS:

  • Jaburu J160-D/J170-D
Slow VFR flying - gorgeous aircraft. Flies nicely. Comes with two bushtrips - one of them is insufferable. But lots of cockpit options - you basically get 4 aircraft here.

JUST FLIGHT:

  • Piper PA-28R Arrow III
Can’t say enough great things! Wonderful high-fidelity aircraft. Has some minor issues that will be corrected soon. Doesn’t support icing right now. Textures are just OK in SOME places, gorgeous in others. Lots of options. EVERYTHING works.

LIONHEART CREATIONS:

  • Socata Trinidad TB-21 GT Turbo
Actually really fun! Looks OK, flies really nice. I recommend it and fly it often.

MSCENERY:

  • McDonnell Douglas FA-18C Hornet
Avoid like the plague. Just stay FAR away.

NEMETH DESIGNS:

  • Aero-Works Aerolite 103
Lots of unfixed issues. Aircraft sinks into ground on landing. Cold and dark start is not configured properly. Development abandoned. Avoid this developer.

SIM SKUNK WORKS:

  • Fiat/AerItalia G-91
Gorgeous, flies REALLY well, one of the best available military aircraft in the sim. Can’t recommend strong enough.

SIMWORKS STUDIOS:

  • Zenith CH701 STOL
Nice STOL aircraft. Pretty basic, but really well-done. Recommended.

VGP:

  • Just Aircraft Power Solo 103
Fun ultra-light. Looks OK. I don’t fly these often, but this one is THE one to get if you want an ultra-light.

VIRTUALCOL:

  • Beechcraft 99
Garbage on all accounts. Wicked ugly, flies OK, no depth, horrible sounds.

WING42:

  • Bleriot XI
Fascinating study-level aircraft from the dawn of aviation. Will challenge you every step. Highly recommended, but you won’t fly it THAT often cause it’s… special. But DO get it.
