“We Love VFR” add-on is a must-have for the low-n-slow VFR fans: get your radio towers, smoke stacks, and more. I use region 2 which includes North America:

I don’t use anything else.

Besides a few choice planes and airports, I use the World Navaids and We Love VFR packages from the .to site. I also have a no-toolbar-handle addon that I forget where I got it, and I have my own dim red flashlight effect mod to save my night vision when getting into a dark plane at night.

FBW A320
Pa-28 (so close to the real thing, it’s uncanny)

GB Central
GB South (when it comes out)
and an HP Reverb G2.

Nothing beats VR.

I don’t consider planes add-ons else the list would be too long. Regardless of the aircraft, I wouldn’t fly without these:

HP Reverb G2 + Open XR Toolkit
Realoptix Rx lens inserts
FS Realistic
TDS GTNxi 750
Honeycomb Alpha yoke
Honeycomb Bravo throttle quadrant
Thrustmaster TPR rudder pedals

Fenix
Fenix with sharklets
Fenix with IAE
Flysimware Cessna 414
Carenado Skymaster and Seneca V

And of course this AI-ships enhancement… sorry I don´t remember what this update is called. It makes ships cruise in rivers, harbors and on all oceans.

Navigraph + SimBrief is really my only must-have.

At least one good plane addon is also something I’d definitely recommend to everybody because stock planes are… not great, but which one exactly is too much of a matter of taste to declare any one of them a “must-have”.

Suggest you add Salty’s 747-8.
Amazingly realistic!

Honorable mention is Just flight BAE 146. I fly this one in Xplane so cannot vouch for MSFS version but it is really good in XP.
Utilities wise.

I can vouch for it, it’s good. Not a must-have for everybody, imho, the GA crowd won’t get much out of it and it may be too challenging for casual players (plus Xbox users are locked out iirc), but if you like this kind of plane, you will like it.

Yeap this is a VOR to VOR plane. It is very challenging to learn but it is ton of fun once you get a hang of it. My wish list is for Justflight to do a next gen model with modern glass cockpit avionics.

They’ve already been working on that for quite a while, actually.

Axis and Oh’s. I use it to script custom functions so that I get full control of the cockpit without mouse, I use it to manage my control profiles across aircraft, use it to map controls from peripherals that normally wouldn’t qualify as game controllers (in my case Midi controller and microphone on my headset) to MSFS controls.

Lots of nice to haves aside that (Little Nav Map could be mentioned as “also ran”), but that’s the essential one to me.
