What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 1)

Yesterday’s first flight with the updated dev version of the FBW A32NX did not go so well (0.7.1)

It was a short hop from Brisbane to Sydney, still too long for the servers to stay up

Australia disappeared with a low bandwidth warning while my system reported 98mbps down / 15mbps up available.

Turning data back on only made the off-line data visible

The game still had a couple connections online yet all together data traffic stayed below 50 kbps and the scenery never recovered.

ATC give me bogus descent instructions as usual yet AP also messed up. It switched to a fixed heading, flying straight on instead of following the approach and wouldn’t allow me to turn back to managed heading mode.

I entered the ILS frequency myself, then lined up with the glide path and followed it manually, AP still stuck on a set heading. All seemed to go fine, got proper landing clearance, getting close to the runway flying at about 135-140 knots when suddenly the throttle goes to TOGA (TOGA LK showing in the display with orange rectangle around it). It’s not responding to my throttle lever, can’t turn off A/THR, so I guess I’m going missed.

Then the plane starts rolling to the right, again not responding to me pushing the stick left to compensate. It just kept rolling all the way, until

Thanks for help tower, I did indeed contact the ground.

No clue what happened, landing clearance, right speed, right landing configuration, gentle slope, then the engines spooled up and the plane started rolling. The was no heavy wind, a slight cross wind. Microburst?

New attempt today, much better, except ATC didn’t work from the get go, no options

Short hop again from Hurghada to Cairo

Hurghada HEGN has issues, runway isn’t aligned with the airport

Nice quiet take off without ATC

I love the desert views in FS2020

On approach to Cairo, without ATC much easier to get stay on the right glideslope!

I connected with the ILS glideslope perfectly, hardly any change in descent rate. Well timed extension of flaps to control the speed and descent rate.

ATC sort off started working a bit around Cairo, options appeared in the window although my co-pilot didn’t want to say anything. All just confusing nonsense, never led to landing clearance. However the ILS approach worked perfectly fine, smooth landing followed by a long taxi to the gates.

I guess no clearance means no logging? 0 take offs, 0 landings, magic!
