What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 1)

Flew around Arizona and landed in a giant meteor crater during a livestream group flight. Great fun!

Why not, you don’t need to be able to see to land at Lukla

How accurate is that view in RL though. I use it to land at night when the airport has no lights. (Not all airstrips have a runway strip in the G1000, drone cam with high exposure for those)

I’m still on my world tour, nearly 63K NM flown so far, 1,223rd landing today. Ended up at Mobotu’s Versailles of the jungle today. Airport build to accommodate the Concorde, no need for tricks

Probably not much to see there. First of all Bing maps redirects to the wrong place when looking up Gbadolite airport (goes to Yakoma) and secondly, data in that region is a messed up mix of low res images smeared with clouds.

Flew around Pilot Plus’ EGTB Wycombe Air Park (third party, payware) for a couple of hours doing three full stop landings. No instruments and charts, with GPS intentionally disabled, so had to do it purely visually, solely relying on landmarks on the ground. Might sound like an easy job to many but it was tough and required around four missed approaches simply because I am not accustomed to looking outside the cockpit a lot like how private pilots in real world normally are, and therefore ended up totally losing the runway and the entire airfield on several occasions.

Running Neofly missions in the Caribbean, and enjoying the thunderclaps!

Just a tour around Crete (Greece). Landed there last night from Belgrade on my world tour that I started a couple of days ago. But it was too dark to see anything last night so I had a daytime tour.

Hefty crosswind landing on LGIR rwy 27 … I was angled at least 20* degrees just to fly straight!

IFR Chichester/Goodwood (EGHR) to Exeter (EGTE) in the C172 G1000. Checked out Superspud’s new Exeter airport scenery. Great job by the way. MSFS Live weather was accurate today. Clear skies and light winds. Perfect for a flight.

Scud-running!

I checked out the location of the Halloween challenge in free flight with the amazing C152X mod and spawned an hour before sunrise in pitch black IMC high above the field… I managed to get out of the mountains to Bucharest to watch the sun rise. Now that the sun was up, I headed back up to Transylvania through the clouds and flew through a cloudy canyon up to a high mountain lake. Just above the ground, visibility is sufficient to sort of make out where the rivers flow!

THIS is where this sim truly shines!!! Down on the deck at full throttle carving through a snaky river canyon enveloped in mist, dodging tall trees and flying just high enough to see where the next bend is heading… Soar too high and ground visibilityis lost…

The first leg of the Nevada bush trip to Inyokern has a section like this, too, but that’s in clear weather. It’s a total intense blast in cloudy situations!

I’d post a picture of my flight from KBOS to KORD if the sim didn’t crash every 10 mins after the latest update.

I spent six hours trying to begin a successful flight in the A320 with no luck. It’s completely bricked. With each patch comes new game breaking problems. I’d love a rollback option.

I spent about two hours in the 320 but when approaching the airport , no reduction in speed and the AP had no idea where the runway was.

Its gone from bugs to complete rubbish, who does quality assurance on these releases?

Its clear quality assurance is not a held position on this team.

Spent most of my day flying the A320, only to find it is now worse than ever… Every descent/approach ends up with the ■■■■ AP doing it’s own thing…

I have tried using the in game planner, i have tried using navigraph data, I have tried removing Navigraph date, i have tried removing the A320NX, i have tried creating an importing a simbrief flight pln, and every ■■■■ time it fails…getting beyond a joke now.

You have supplied a game that does not work as advertised…

More XCub world-trippery. And another fine geology lesson flying up the East African Rift.

Northwest of Lichinga, Mozambique. A sharp escarpment forming the edge of the rift. Behind and to the left is Lake Malawi/Lake Nyasa, which fills much of the valley itself. About 50 miles to the far shore here.

About 200 miles north, the lake ends, with the ridge on the eastern side continuing up into Tanzania. The plain in the foreground, forming the northern end to the lake, seems to be sedimentary, judging from the meandering rivers flowing in. If the rift stopped splitting, the lake would probably fill with sediment entirely, but I don’t think there’s much chance of that happening. Plate tectonics is slow (most of the time), but unstoppable. Africa is coming apart…

Flew over Sawyer Glacier in Alaska. Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable. I mean stunning in its clarity and detail. Took my breath away. Jaw dropping! Never thought I’d ever see ANYTHING like this in a flight simulator and I’ve been flight simming since 1983!
Oh yeah, playing the Planet Earth soundtrack in the background while flying through here. Epic!

Nothing. I played Ultimate General: Civil War.

I continued my Western-USA scenic tour. I wasn’t disapointed (Lake Powell)

I followed you but could not replicate these views at Sawyer Glacier?
Do you have an actual map location from little nav map?
Great tour round them though.

Continued my tour around South Africa which will then continue to a world tour using the TBM. I wanted to use the CJ4 but it seems to use a lot more fuel than it should? I suspect it’s going to take forever but it’s been fun so far. This leg was East London to Port Elizabeth.

Leaving East London:

Cruising just off the coast:

Arriving for runway 26 at Port Elizabeth:

I uninstalled it and cancelled the order for the PC upgrade. IMO that’s how bad things are… and yes I know nobody cares.
