Another leg of my world tour in the CJ4 completed today. Zahedan (Iran) to Ahmedabad (India).
Next trip will be Ahmedabad to Lukla (!!). That’s gonna be … interesting… to say the least.

Sorry for not replying sooner. Search for PAJN and southeast of that you’ll see Tracy Arm, Fords Terror Wilderness and north of that is Sawyer Glacier and South Sawyer Glacier.
I’ve put the coordinates in for you here to see exactly where to spawn your aircraft. Just fly north up the fjord and there’s the glacier. Can’t miss it! .You can also fly down the other way to South Sawyer Glacier. Beautiful down there also. Have fun!
Incidentally, I got the idea to check this glacier out by watching a magnificent video of on YT.(Venture to Alaska 2012. Part 2 - YouTube). It’s of a cruising yacht that transits this area. The glacier is seen at 8:42 in the video. It’s really a great video and fascinating to watch. There’s quite a number of other videos in the series that take you to Iceland, the Farrow Islands, the U.S west coast, through Panama canal and back up the east coast of the U.S. and then up the Hudson river to the St. Lawrence Seaway. I really enjoyed these videos and highly recommend them.
I agree. I was ready to get a loaded pc but I wouldn’t be able play the stupid thing anyways unless I only play 10 mins before it crashes. Would a new pc not have the issues? I have no idea but I’m not spending $2,500 after this horrible experience.
Thanks, we were in the same place, think I was flying a lot lower last time which made it look so different., I landed at the nearest airport, grass strip down in a valley which was really cool.
I am not even having any ctds but every patch i get more dumbed down graphics that they then say are performance upgrades. Game looks nothing like it did when they released it. I already have FSX and this seems to be what this thing will look like when they are done with it so whats the point.
Found Mirror Lake featured in the movie Dantes Peak.
Port Elizabeth to Cape Town International, 3rd leg of my TBM 930 World Tour.
Leaving Port Elizabeth:
Thought I’d post this just for fun. Hubby wanted to fly on his own so I told him I would go and flirt in the sky and at airports for a while. What I actually intended was to find out how many Gentleman pilots I could find. You know, the sort that don’t run a lady over on the taxiway or let her take of first. I even put instructions on the plane. I am still counting.
This sim is simply awesome. Lots of company when flying so you don’t feel alone in the sky.
I found a very short hidden runway on a trip across Florida near Panama Beach. FA07. It’s well hidden and surrounded by tall trees so it was a great challenge to land there in the C172. I finally managed to land and stop the plane just before hitting the foliage! It’s no problem for the Cubs and a lot easier in the C152. What’s the biggest plane that you can land there??
I’m on the ground because when my brain says to look to the side (SHFT-Left Arrow) it seems to understand that I have to move the ailerons (Shft-Numpad 4).
I’ve been remapping keys since the fingers on my left hand are getting very sore. I was wondering why my fingers were getting worse and worse, today it finally dawned on me it’s fs2020. Ctrl+shift+1 etc combinations are very bad over time. So I swapped everything I use often to ‘simple’ key presses swapping the less used function (or never used by me) to the infernal ctrl shift alt combinations.
Currently I’m following the storm we’re having today. Flying with a 47 knot tailwind, icing, but can’t find the rain as usual.
What I did yesterday. Finally figured out why parts of Africa are covered in spots. It’s been bugging me for weeks:
No, it isn’t MSFS acting up. You can see the same thing in satellite images. It’s termites. Each spot in real life will have a termite mound in the middle, affecting the local ecosystem. Termites may be small, but there are a lot of them…

Discovered https://flightsim.to/ and downloaded lots of landmarks and some airports and 3D cities, all for free. Sad thing is that some of the older ones result in a CTD, they need to be updated in order to fix that. But still lots of good things to get from that site.
Continued my around the world journey in my TBM 930 and just landed in Queenstown NZ.
Landed at Chicago Ohare today. Crazy. About 35 planes flying around landing and taking off. Constant radio chatter of go arounds and missed approaches. Watched an airliner bank and dive into the ocean behind me. Just nuts. Busiest airport I have seen by far.
Night flight from Rotorua to Wellington…great view of the Southern Cross.
The day flight from Wellington to Queens Town. You can see why New Zealand is called the Land of the Long White Cloud.
