My usual flight for when I want to get a quick flight in after work. FBW A320 from Durban to Johannesburg. The sim ran really well, smooth and somewhere I’ve gained about 5 FPS, maybe FBW did something.

I don’t normally fly Asobo’s Bush Trips, since the aircraft, time & weather are ‘locked-in’ … but the new Tasmania Bush Trip w/ C208b/G1000Nxi mod is very enjoyable, I must say.

It fun watching other simmers fly the A320 since I like to see how people do things differently, and maybe learn something.
I noticed you climbed all the way on TO/GA. Was that just to give your passenger’s their money’s worth?
On approach, you didn’t have Autothrottle on. How were you controlling speed? I noticed you came in pretty hot.
I also turn on the landing system (LS) button so I can see the ILS markers on the PFD. Not sure if you just prefer to do it differently.
How are you liking the experimental version? Is LNAV working on this release? I’m curious if RNAV approaches work if LNAV is fully operational.

My problem with Lukla this time of the year is finding the runway. Everything is covered with snow so you really have to know the surroundings to even spot the airstrip.
One mistake I made with the Twin Otter was coming to a full stop before I made it over the crest at the end/start of the runway. Even with full throttle I struggled to make it to the apron.

Different locations over this past weekend. I needed a few hours to clear 1000, and I wanted to complete it before WU7 - in case MSFS decided it was my turn to have my logbook wiped.

FSIA Seychelles to FMNK Andrakaka Madagascar. I flew around Madagascar and enjoyed a diverse range of landscapes. I’m not sure how, but I lost all my Madagascar screenshots.

Fuel Stop
Scrufy totally forgot fuel on the fuel stop and his engine starved not long into the next leg. We landed next to a building in a random flield. Everyone took off again and the flight continued without further incident.

Had two really good sessions, the third was nothing but a lag fest, the fourth was great. This morning were back to nothing but a lag fest, I can barely break single digits for fps with high network latency.

If you struggle to get even a low but acceptable framerate, maybe try and run the sim on lower settings?
Had my first flight in vfr to imc conditions, glad it was a sim flight. Landed at a non towered airport with very low visibility with snow.

Planned a flight from Orly to Madrid with the CJ4 in VR. Imported the flight plan from Simbrief using the FMC and set everything up. Took forever to taxi and 2 minutes after I finally departed my computer froze. Another hour of my life wasted. Went to the kitchen to chug another glass of wine to calm my nerves and then restarted the sim. Pretty sure I’m gonna become an alcoholic if I keep flying in this sim.

I had the same kind of experience after SU5/6. It took me quite a while to understand that my graphics card was the culprit since it was working well initially. Looks like sim perf improvements exhausted some GPU parts not so much used before. I had to downclock my VRAM freq 50hz and GPU 10 hz to solve almost all freezes. Anyway this experience confirmed to me that system hangups cannot be blamed on software but only on hardware. Hope it helps…

The live weather in NZ is notoriously bad for accuracy (and has been since FSX days) with only NZAA, NZWN and NZCH broadcasting weather data for the entire country, and all other airports interpolating this weather. I live in hope that one day we’ll get more stations online to accurately reflect the diverse weather often found around the country!

Why would I lower the setting when this has been running on ultra+ since release. There is another issue here, and Im hearing more and more people starting to complain about it.
