First flight in the Goose to Catalina, I love the big lumpy cammed engine sounds on this one at idle.
Very tempted to get the goose. The livery looks fab
And the Forum is back. Yeah, baby! YEAH!
Took the Mighty Goose for a hop around Honolulu and landed her in Pearl Harbor. Man, I love this plane.
I flew an A320neo from Orlando to Cancun. Everything was going well, and after checking the flight plan before departure, I expected a relatively smooth flight. However, the autopilot demons took over as we descended into Cancun. My plane stopped navigating and decided to go into a steep right turn/descent. I managed to recover the aircraft, and we landed without incident.
In the meantime, Iām getting a little heartbroken seeing all the remarkable vintage aircraft released to the PC, and I canāt help but wonder how much longer it will be before we can fly these great planes on the Xbox.
First day in Japan, last night/this morning for my body though, woke up at around 10 pm, I was still on London time even though it was like the afternoon in London, I rolled out of bed late, which since I just flew in from London and was tired, Iām okay with waking up 2 pm and it being all 10 pm and stuff, fresh off the boat from London hit the nightlife I wanted to go to Kabukicho, I set out around 11:20 pm last night.
This city looks beautiful, right off the bat I could I tell that I abosutely loved the place.
Looking for Kabuicho Ichibangai, I saw a bunch of neat stuff.
Then I found a random helipad, landed on it. Saw they had a āNationa Diet Buildingā in the distance the instruments were telling me, then I got blown about a bit in the wind, setting down in a bunch of places looking for Kabukicho Ichibangai was when I earned that landing in the wind thing.
Coca-Colaā¦ KFC!
Turns out I was going in the wrong direction, so I went back up the street.
I remember I went back past the KFC, and noticed I was flying on the left, felt like England to me a bit, like in England, that was cool.
I had arrived.
and found a McDonaldās.
Kabukicho Ichibangai
Went back up out past the KFC, then decided I wanted to back, and turning around I got blown about/lost control, was sent flying through buildings and around the corner so I had to circle the block, saw this.
Louis Vuitton
Made it back, found this there too. Looked cool. Like a big arcade I assume, anyway, I didnāt go in, I parked up.
Damnwell got stuck in that place, looked cool though.
Was free, took off to check out Roppongi, looked cool, but I also wanted to see the Tokyo Tower, Iād probably be back out to Roppongi tonight if Iām awake. Iām going back to Kabukicho Shinjuku today, in a bit, because I want something to eat/drink and they have this cat cafe I want to check out, but, as I was sayingā¦
Roppongi last night/first day in Japan, after Kabukicho Shinjuku last night.
It reminded me of that movie Akira (1988) to be honest.
I also felt a little bit like Godzilla looking for Kabukicho flying amongst the buildings hereā¦
Tokyo Tower!
Then I hit the Shibuya Scramble Crossing.
Took more pictures of it.
Then I called it a night at 1 am.
Just a reminder to help prevent lag on mobile devices:
Please keep posts limited to 10 images. If you have more than 10, create a new post.
I woke up again at 10 am, I also went out again today around 1 pm earlier, went back to Kabukicho for this cat cafe (this time in the day) I wanted to go to, then I went off to the Tokyo Dome, and then I went off to go sightseeing, saw Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Tower (again in the day) and Rainbow Bridge and places.
Kabukicho (again)
Iām starting to know this place as my home away from home, so farā¦ I recognise things, I know whatās here now, I am going out to Roppongi where my hotel is to go out clubbing there one night. But this is the first place I know here in Japan (so far), Kabukicho Shinjuku.
Got my cat cafe on here, was excellent, I also tried Japanese McDonaldās. Stick with what I know right now. Trying to get my bento box and sushi on though, etcā¦
Tokyo Dome
What I came to see in Japan (as well as other things)ā¦
Iām not going to lie, in this, I just came back from America, I went to Whitby, North Yorkshire for the day last week, then went off to Italy for dinner, decided to go to Venice since I was in Italy, decided while I was close to Milan, even though I had an excellent time in Venice, I went shopping in Milan, landed on the tower of Pisa went to Florence, spent the morning there before going off to Tusancy, went to Rome, saw Rome! Went to Catania, loved the sun, loved it all, thought about my guitar that was built there back at home Friday night, saw this business-class only flight that I booked out of Rome back to London City so went back to Rome to catch that flight. Spent Friday night and Saturday night where Iām from, left out for Japan on Sunday though England did DST, I did for about 9 or so hours that day, maybe 12, and then did an 8 hour time difference on a 9-hour altered clock as I think I was still in BST/UTC personally, England went DST and I went Japan!..
I flew first class but didnāt get much sleep, I slept a bit on the way overā¦ I came to do my laundry in Japan.

Yeah, sure, I had a couple of nice suits I took with me that I got in Milan last week at Gorgio Armani, but I came to Japan to do my laundry (and see the place)ā¦
I think Iām getting used to Tokyo though, I went out last night, my first day in Japanā¦ I woke up at 10 pm Monday and landed that morning and got to bed around 3 pm just after check-in at the Ritz Carlton. I was near the Rainbow Bridge actually this heliport / I was near Tokyo Heliport (RJTI) before getting the limo to Roppongi where I found a place there to gather my thoughts and meet my translator, now I know what Iām doing in Japan after Iām done with Tokyo.
You see, I canāt come to Japan for the first time and not check in with my people here.
I went back after 1 is and called it a night to go blog about it, was way cool!.. But the blog was down for maintenance, anyway, I and the and the producers of this adventure had words, so Iāve had to edit a bit, but, everybodyās happy and I seem good to go.
I woke up just after 10 am this morning, went out around 1 pm, (am starting to get the hang of Tokyo time because I went back to bed after finding the blog was read-only)ā¦
I went to this cat cafe back at Kabukicho, my home away from home hereā¦ It seems.
Went back out today, had my tea, I went to the McDonaldās I found last night as they were open now, had Japanese McDonaldās, pet a cat/bought food/treats for the cats where I had my tea. Just plain olā ocha, nothing fancy, loved it though, love being hereā¦
Looked up and met up with my old drinking buddy from England whoās got roots here and moved out here and became a translatorā¦ I already hired one, but, Iām giving him a little something-something for helping me out, I picked up my friend, then went off to Tokyo Dome, did what I had to do there, then we took off for my sightseeing this afternoon, they took me to do some touristy things here in Japan since Kabukicho Ichibangai wasnāt what the producers had in mind. We went to the Tokyo Skytree.
Imperial Palace
Tokyo Tower (again, this time in the day)ā¦
Then I wanted to see some sumo and where the sumo stadium was in Tokyo but was told itās out of season in Tokyo and itās whereās the Summer-dasho is, however, it has started in Osaka for the Spring-dasho and I will be in Osaka on this trip to Japan at some point (I think after Hiroshima or Sapporo)ā¦ but I will be in Osaka soon anyway, so, I am going there to see Osaka too, so Iād be going out to a sumo wrestling match out in Osaka one night there with my friend who Iām picking up in Hiroshima after Iām done with Tokyoā¦ But this is the Tokyo one; Ryogoku Kokugikan National Sumo Stadium
Then I was shown which one was Rainbow Bridge by everybody, turns out I saw it when I got there, but, here it is earlier this afternoon.
Then I decided to go back to my hotel so flew back to Kabukicho Shinkyo because, thatās the only way I know how to get back to Roppongi is from there (Iām from London)!.. Cut me some slackā¦
Anyway, saw this shrine on the way back. I think it was Meiji Shrine, but donāt quote me on that.
Looked cool anyway though.
Itās now midnight, but Iām wide awake, not good, weāll see how it goes and what happens next, still on London time āBaby!ā I guess, yeah.
Iām back at Tokyo Dome tomorrow night though.
Iām new here, so I guess youāre okay with double posting thenā¦
Some online communities donāt like double posts, but, I assume, based on this, if itās more than 10 images, FSforumās okay with double posting.
Done another leg straight to the South from Maya-Maya (FCBB) to Negage (FNNG). It was crisp air upon departure, that became just the right amount of clouds to help appreciate the speed of the Albatros.
A few more such legs and Iāll run out of southward (at least I donāt think the Albatros can make the Africa - Antarctica flight even on full tanks)
There is also an old saying about āless is moreā.
Just some advice, keep flying and sharing how you see it.
I went out around 3 am, because I wanted to triple check I didnāt miss somethingā¦
I found the Godzilla statue, turns out itās also in Kabukicho. (The first place Iām fast getting to know here in Japan). Not only do I now know where that Godzilla statute I want to go see is, I now know that street already, so, I know Kabukicho now.
So I went out, and yeah, 3 am, I was there, no Godzilla statue hugging a building in sight on MFS.
So I went around, got to know the area a bit, found the first Coca-Cola sign I found on my first night again, and now I know where I was and where I should have gone on that first initial night instead of looking for it and getting blown about in that wind in my Velocity that night and finding it like half-hour to an hour laterā¦ I now know what I should have done on my first night, with tonightās 3 am flight.
I had to revise my plans for after Tokyo.
I came out here with Japan Airlines from London Heathrow (LHR) to Tokyo Narita (NRT), but my private jetās arrived here waiting at Toyko Haneda (HND), Iām going to take my friend off in it and use it until Iām back at Tokyo to leave Japan.
Iām going to use my private jet for;
Thatās the plan, anyway.
Sunday Hiroshima to see my friend and her band whoās playing in Hiroshima this Tuesday and then take her around Japan with me for a bit after that until after Okinawa.
I thought Kyoto had its own airport, but MFS says otherwise.
I am starting to get stir crazy here in Tokyo a bit, either missing England or missing Oregon but Iām here in Tokyo loving it still and I am starting to learn my way around now/know the place. Iāve got one more day to go sightsee before Tokyo Dome and then one more day after that before Tokyo Dome and then itās off to Hiroshima for my friend to pick her up and see Hiroshima before we head off to Aomori, Sapporo, Kyoto and then Osaka by flying into Osaka, Okinawa then after Okinawa weād part ways and sheād go back to Hiroshima and Iād go onto Kansai where I hope to see cherry blossom ('tis the season), then Mt. Fuji then Kochi for sunrise so I may get in the night before for that one, then back to Tokyo to exit Japanā¦
I already know Osakaās going to be fun, and Iāve also got us tickets to see my first sumo match there in Osaka too when I get there.
Maybe, I am tempted, to fly out to Hiroshima real quick, pick up my friend, bring her to Tokyo and head to Tokyo Dome with her, on my last night, then we can fly back to Hiroshima and see her band and her city after my 2nd night at the Tokyo Domeā¦
Hmmmā¦
Tempting, or I might just stay in Tokyo a week? Stay an extra day or two after my 2nd night at Tokyo Dome is over with on Saturday.(Friday night and Saturday night Iām there) - before leaving out to see my friend in Hiroshima who playing Tuesday night.
Then Iām picking her up and weāre going too see some of Japan together until we split ways in Okinawa.
First, Iāve got 2 nights at the Tokyo Dome to get through at the end of the week before I think about I even think about checking out and heading off to Hiroshima.
Itās like 06:30 am now, but Iād be going to bed in a couple of hours. I can feel it. Back in England, itās now 10:30 pm, so, I guess that makes sense. Still adjusting to the time here, Iāve been here since Monday morning.
I just practiced final approaches.
Mod edit Removed āmissing linkā Screen shot below seems relevant.
Iām in Tokyo for the week at least, so I decided to go out again before heading back to my hotel for bed. I went down to the Tokyo Dome to see how things were getting on.
But first, let me show you the hotel Iām staying it.
I love how this hotelās got a helipad
The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo in Roppongi
My base here in Tokyo, this week
Iāve got a room underneath facing this way.
My hotel room.
I wanted breakfast (midnight snack to my body though), and I wanted to quadruple check something too while I was there, so, before checking in on the Tokyo Dome. I also navigated myself here visually as this was an afterthought, so I went around learning how to find Kabukicho better from my hotel.
Found, saw some cool things along the way looking for it but once I knew where I was, I was fine and went straight to it (if anything, being in Tokyo this on my first time in Japan, is teaching me Tokyo at least).
Yup, just as I got from my 3 am flight only daylight confirms itā¦
No fānā Godzilla statue thatās meant to be hugging that skyscraper up there.

I did see some other stuff though.
But I had to check that I wasnāt missing Godzilla, but like back in Croydon, UK, trying to find Croydon Clocktower Saturday night, it just wasnāt happening - Canāt win them all! But, I confirmed I couldnāt see it, then went to breakfast.
Japanese McDonaldās (again)ā¦
On my way to Tokyo Dome (again).
Iām going back to my hotel from here to go to bed, even though I got here at 9 am, Iām still on London timeā¦
Iām back here tomorrow too, in the day, then Friday evening and Saturday evening.
Iām trying to flair at the right time
Woke up tonight around 9 pm, went off to Kabukicho for my breakfast which was everybody elseās eveningā¦ Hit KFC this time; Japanese KFC.
Then I went off to Tokyo Dome to see the entrance Iād be taking a car with, a limo Friday & Saturday night.
āsmoothā
Then I decided to hit Roppongiās club scene, got there around 10 pmā¦ To be honest, nothing much open on a Wednesday night, but I did find one Afrobeats/Hip Hop/Reggae club open called The Ibex. (Google never lies), seemed alright, went there, had a good time.
The real revalation was, for me, finding out Roppongiās club scene was right on my hotelās doorstep.
So I had a good time, left the club, went to explore Roppongi tonight (glad I did, Iāve been meaning to do that)ā¦
Then I went back to my hotelā¦ That was right there.
Landed on the roof (as I do)
I was home/my base in Tokyo. The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo.
