What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 1)

Took the longitude out, couldn’t disengage autothrottle and couldn’t drop the gear. Shut down engines, Speedbrake full, flaps full, had a nice little slide down the runway.

My first flight down-under. Port Moresby to Cairns. Spike-free, but lots of weather, though it did not rain. Plenty of turbulence going in.

I guess those were vineyards below, I was too far above to see the details. At first I thought they might be olive trees but I don’t know if they grow that high up. When I finish the general tour I’ll concentrate on running the Drone for good views.

Needed a break from ice and snow. Found a sand bar way out at sea in the middle of nowhere.

Lynn, I’m with you. Much ,much too old for procedures. I just want to handle the plane reasonably and ‘fly’ around the world. Don’t care about flying airliners, ATC, or complex flight plans. Leave that for the young to enjoy. I don’t obsess over CTD, never had one, FPS, have no idea what mine are. I just enjoy the beauty and versatility of MSFS. It sure beats what we had back in the 80’s.

Some shots of my run from Valencia to Madrid. A little snow on the ground around Cuenca. The wind mills are SW of LECP. Airport is Barajas, Madrid. Spain terrain can be dangerous. Had to stay above 4000 for most of the flight.

Flew around London during the night before the world update 3

followed the welcomed So Cal storms from Half Moon to the Channel Islands

KAVX was impossible visual, so imposed upon the Navy at San Clemente

I know San Clemente. Made many operations there over the years. Landed there when I first got MSFS. Many changes. They got rid of the wild goats. There were thousands the first time I went there. I could tell many stories about that place.

Went to have a look at Stonehenge.

Somewhere in Africa

Added Thunderbird 2 today

Did some sightseeing - Fort Jefferson

I went on a night-day fishing trip and we kept seeing this submarine running around the island. On the island were vehicles scrambling around all over. I supposed it was some sort of exercise, but the sub was the bonus.

That’s great. Where do you get that TARDIS? I’ve also seen a bumper sticker ‘My other vehicle is a TARDIS’

I credit the Tardis model maker and shared the download link on Tardis – FLIGHTSIM SQUADRON

Am still trying to see if I make the interior bigger on the inside but not visible from the outside …

A lot of fun using the underground hanger developed for the fast response jet fighter patrol out of Llanbedr (EGOD). Perfect size for TB2

DAAJ → DAAP in the Algerian Sahara. Left at dawn to see the moon hanging over red dunes. A 1.5 hour flight turned into 3.5 because I got lost after playing in these canyons. Remind me to buy the MB-339 and come back here so I can pretend like I’m running the Death Star trench in Star Wars.

Those screenshots are simply amazing! I’m going to have to take that trip too.

I’ve completed Saddle Sore today. One of the couple of achievements I still had left.

Didn’t take any screenshots, since the DA62 was just on AP along a coast at very low throttle for 8 hours, and I wasn’t watching it, since I was doing house chores and making dinner

continued my tour of SE Asia

yesterday Singapore to Manila

today Manila to HK

sat int he tower for awhile in VR (night), used the drone through the city and Kowloon, then sat on top of the mountain for awhile

on arrival into manila saw a nice big lake with an island in the middle, with steep cliffs. It looked like a caldera to me, turns out it is, it’s active and if a major eruption happens, Manila is screwed!
