Flew EGES to EGEP in the M20R exploring the Scottish Islands
It all looked perfect at the beginning…
The fuel was perfectly planned…
Everything went so incredible smooth…
Until I forgot to press the approach button to catch the glideslope!
The problem was, the wind was strong and therefore the fuel calculation failed and there was only fuel for ONE approach left on board…
Fuel for one minute left. No time to program a new approach in the MCDU, 37 knots of sidewind with gusts.
That is the passenger list for the tombstone, as usual a cargo flight with two Umbrella Corp employees. At least I tried to land it by hand, but with this sidewind it was impossible.
Flew the Cessna 170B from EGEP to EGEW on my Scottish islands tour
Then I flew the Cessna 195 from EGEW to EGES
Flew on from Massena Intl-Richards Field (KMSS) to Greater Rochester Intl (KROC)
Had really spectacular weather, had to keep myself from constant screenshots
Despite the looks, in the end I did not have to resort to full ILS, but at this moment it really seemed like an instruments only landing.
Route 66 leg #1
I found that bush trip at Flightsim on route 66, Chicago to LA.
I only used the provided flightplan, used the TBM. The flightplan is fine, I’ll just land when I’m tired.
Preparing for flight at Meigs field.
Chicago take-off.
St. Louis into Missouri.
Joplin to Kansas, then Oklahoma.
Descent to Oklahoma City.
On final to University of Oklahoma Westheimer airport KOUN.
And there I end the first leg at Oklahoma City.
A classic IFR (I Follow Rivers) flight on a Cessna 152 when in Switzerland, from Neuchatel to Fricktal-Schupfart LSZI
It’s typical Rochester NY Weather for being near two Great Lakes, grey and cloudy where a 20 percent chance of rain = a 100 percent chance, if your in a ga aircraft they normally use the little runway near all the hangers the airlines always use the other two runways
Cruising the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys. Inspired by another simmer’s post, I’d found a half dozen or so elementary schools on Google maps with maps of the US and or World on their school yards. Bing’s scenery only showed less than half of those.
Flew over DTLA and landed in El Monte (an old mod that still works after all these updates.)
Well 3989 feets are about enough for the Albatros to land, but as on approach it seemed like a full instrument landing I went for runway 22. Better safe than sorry
Flew north Scotland in the Cessna 182 from EGED to EGER on my Scottish Island tour
KOUN is where I do my flight lessons at!
Flew EGER to EGPA in the airbus h135
Then flew the halo pelican from EGPA to EGKF
Did my second attempt to fly on VATSIM, this time LHPP-LHOY-LHPP in the DA62. Unlickily no control was online even on a friday night, so I ended up again taling to mysolf on unicom…
On a side note: MFS registered 0 takeoffs and 0 landings, while registering 36 minutes of flight. I both took of and landed on LHPP and did a touch and go at LHOY. Is it related to me not using the built in ATC? Anyone?
