What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 1)

A short morning flight from Des Moines Intl (KDSM) to Norfolk Regional (KOFK)

Hmm it doesn’t show up in LittleNavMap. In the sim there is an NDB at VNLD (LDA, 236 kHz). It sits at the mouth of the valley that leads to Lukla and it’s all visual from there.

Flew the Tiger Moth over Naples and surrounds near sunset, testing out my RTX 4090 using DLSS3 with frame generation on my new 4K 43" 144Hz adaptive sync monitor and had an absolute ball. For all you naysayers, this technology in MSFS is astonishing. You have to experience it to judge. Everything on settings maxed out, including TLOD at 400 and OLOD at 200. Not one stutter. The only artifacts I saw were some shimmering on the lowering sun on the windshield. Aerobatics, spins, you name it. As my first training flights were on a Moth, I’d say the flight model is reasonably accurate from memory, but the engine sound needs some work, but still, the best 2D experience I’ve had in the sim, and I mainly fly in VR. Man, everything was just so sharp. The attached pic does not do justice to the experience.

Oh and I I had the case side panel open and checked the temps on the power connector and it was only barely warm and only from the GPU heatsink below it.

87FPS in the dev counter, 175FPS with DLSS3 as shown on the left.

Edit: must add. I’m a pensioner and by no means a rich guy, I just love flying, even if it now means on a computer.

Nice to see everyones pics. I met with the mechanics and engineers after my A320neo came out of maintenance :mask:

I did a walkaround before it was towed out of the hangar :cowboy_hat_face:

When I’m back up flying around S.E Asia I’ll post more pics.

Enjoy your virtual flying friends :grinning:

Goose Bay to Saint-Pierre
Loading up in Goose bay.

Goodbye Goose Bay.

Cruising above North Canada.

What do you mean it’s already time to descent ?

The approach was made easy thanks to instruments.

And safely on the ground.

Thank you for this short trip, have a great stay and keep safe.

One hour flight from Canada to France. Concorde can’t beat that.

About to wrap up a long haul from KBWI-KLAX but since I still have a ton of studying to do, I am thinking about continuing onto PHNL.

A great 58 minute flight from Roseburg, OR (KRBG) to Mammoth/Yosemite, CA (KMMH) in our beloved Longitude. This is our first flight since the disastrous Nvidia driver update of October 12, but with help from the boards (thanks guys!), I figured out how to roll back the driver to the previous version and things went PERFECT. Shot the RNAV to runway 27, which didn’t entirely line us up (consistent with the approach chart) but we managed a pretty decent landing. High altitude airport (~7000 feet) and 7000 foot long runway always fun!

I’m going to the Porsche Experience in ATL tonight, so I pre-flew the route. See Porsche headquarters and track beneath RWY 26R

EDIT: My sim is better than Porsche’s. Limited motion with an ultra-wide monitor = vomit city.
VR+Full motion = eyes and body in sync.

Driving on the actual track was pretty Rad, tho.
