2nd shot is Courchevel in the french Alps, its a hand finished airfield in the France worls update
Took the Subsonex out for a joyride trying to find a campsite I was recently at in California. Got to the coordinates and could verify the general terrain, but the 3d trees covered the few recognizable ground texture bits that might have been there.
Might be a good area to try out that helicopter rescue winch thing in 2024.
Saturday flight:
Eurowings Airbus A320-214 D-ABDT

- Flight time: 1:34 Hours
Flying the Caravan between YCBG Cambridge and YBHB Bathurst Harbour in Tasmania. Not too challenging today, a few days back winds were 40-45 kts. Waaay too strong to land a Caravan
Hobart
Bathurst Harbour emerging through the clouds
Pretty scenery
Easy approach today
So, continuing my saga with the BR P40B, set up a dawn patrol in the airspace east of Kunming - period app is quite the trick. This flight had me setting up every kind of trim possible - not just right rudder - and I got some encouraging results. Which I worked out better in my next morning patrol around O’ahu - film at 11.
Thank you.
The first shot is LFPS - Notre Dame De La Salette. And it is add-on airport available at Altisurface Notre Dame de la Salette LF3826 (LFPS) for Microsoft Flight Simulator | MSFS
I think, while the default airport is underdone, the add-on is overdone. I checked this video and there is nothing at the airport, except windsock. Atterrissage à Notre Dame de La Salette - YouTube
The second shot is LFLJ - Courchevel. It is included in World Update 4 - France.
Great, thanks for the information.
More quality time with the JPL C152, this time from my home base KPAE to S36 (Grier).
Still heading south, trimmed out nicely, keeping an eye on all of the traffic to the west.
I just love flying.
Landed safely after a few go-arounds. The first was due to a horrible approach, dropping too low too fast, the next was turning on my base leg way too soon, but once I got into the pattern it was easier. Grier presents a challenge since the runway is completely surrounded by trees on three sides, so it can be hard to spot at times even in the pattern. Plus it was much darker when I arrived, which made it even more difficult. And the trees at the end of runway 15 are very verrry tall, I used the whole runway.
Today I reach American continent in my tour around Pacific in DC-3. PADU PAKN
Visibility in Unalaska was not good, but still above minimums. Most of the flight was IFR, except the end. Luckily there is more coverage by VORs and NDBs in this area than on my previous legs. Departure from PADU was simple, just climb north from NDB. Soon I got above the clouds. Unfortunately in the middle of the flight I got into the clouds at cruise altitude, so I was flying just be needle. Then I got out of clouds and there was only few clouds at the destination, so I canceled IFR and continued visually.
At PAKN I did super smooth landing, thanks to having sunset behind me and I could use my own shadow to measure distance from runway.
And there was also some traffic at the destination. And ATC did wrong lining up. There was airliner behind me on final. But of course in the end it had to go-around because my approach was much slower.
This is the volcano that was mentioned in NOTAMs for eruption. Luckily today NOTAM area was much smaller (only around the mountain), unlike last week, when there was large part of airspace closed.
Today: England in the new A2A Comanche 250. Took off from EGHF (Solent) near Portsmouth

Quick touch-and-go at EGHO (Thruxton Aerodrome),

Flew over Derby and Nottingham to my final destination today, EGNX (East Midlands):
Great new DLC by Pyreegue. But I’m still waiting on the apron to get my parcel
Did a career flight using NeoFly. It’s awesome
Just first experience no editing whatsoever. I like to make videos and there will be plenty coming up using NeoFly.

What is the name of the app you are using for the map?
Continuing my round the world flight, this stretch in the Bonanza, following Route 1 in Bolivia along the former shores of Poopo Lake and the Azanaques Range.
Hey Kaptajnen, using Spacedesk. If you have an Android smartphone,
tab or smart tv in your network you can mirror the PFD or MFD with this app on it, by putting the cursor either on your MFD or PFD and at the same time pushing the ALT button.
I am using a google chromecast on a Samsung smart tv to mirror the MFD because of my eyes. If you then make a screenshot it automatically takes a picture of both screens.
