What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 2)

Good landing friend.
I don’t know if he’s been there yet.
But I also recommend LSZA (Lugano)
Good luck braking

Continuing my tour of the African continent. I picked up the Black Square Analog Caravan and the TDS GNS 750xi as well as the new Cessna 207 from Asobo/Carenado. I love what Black Square is doing with these analog aircraft mods!

Tried out the new F-111E. Still have more to learn but it’s interesting to fly

Full agreement. Bolzano is much more interesting than Innsbruck. I never understood the hype about Innsbruck. I like to use the grass runway with my Tanarg 912.

Today, I did a 2-for-1 in my world tour in the FBW32NX. I started off in Berlin and flew to Kiev, then from Kiev to Istanbul.

The first flight did’t offer that many nice views as it was cloudy almost the entire flight. My landings are getting better again, it seems because my landing in Kiev was absolute butter, and according to SimToolKitPro, I was just 15ft from the 1000ft marker and I only pulled about 3ft to the right. And touching down had only a G-rating of 1.02G. That’s pretty good, right? :stuck_out_tongue:

During the second leg, I had some truly nice weather and a good landing at Atatürk Airport. I don’t recall the figures anymore though, but it felt good

I’ve added some screenshots at the bottom of the post. Hope you enjoy them

Winjeel from French Valley (F70) to KMYF, with some zig-zags along the way. No wingovers, just some nice low and slow over the hills of Southern California.

Nice parking spot!

I’ve read about how St Helena (FHSH) is a very challenging airport, so I wanted to try it of course. Sadly it’s literally in the middle of nowhere, so the best I could do that is not a several hours flight was just a simple circuit, so that’s exactly what I did:

Don’t let the numbers fool you, it was a very rough landing, somewhy I had to keep the plane at about 45 degrees off the heading to fly the track in a 15kn crosswind. No idea why.

Sadly the airport is hardly even existing in MSFS, it has no apron, no taxiways so I had to spawn on the runway, taxi off, shut down the engine, set everything up, taxi back and do the flight.

After my flying lesson in Strathaven, I took a short flight to Prestwick, even though I usually avoid the larger airports.

There was a lot going on in the skies over Scotland today.

I flew into KCHA yesterday, logging solo time for insurance IRL. Wilson Air is a nice FBO!

Originally I wanted to start Iberia connection bush-trip in Sting S4. However, weather in in that area was very cloudy, definitely not for VFR. So I decided to start Iberia connection instead. And there were still some bigger airports on the way, so I stick with WB-Sim C172. Real weather again, but it was very nice.

Unfortunately I didn’t make any screenshot of final to Jayena airport (LE84). Wind was slightly from west, so I decided to land rw 27. I could see that would be challenging approach, because there was small hill in front of it. But runway was long. I did 2 go-arounds because I overshot the final. Then I undershot it, but that was actually good. I could just fallow small gap (mini-valley) right to the runway. Very interesting approach.

Arrival to Almeria (LEAM) airport had good timing. I overflew rw 25 just about time Vueling flight got cleared to land. Then I joined downwind 25 and had clear traffic for landing.

Finding some grass-strips in MSFS can be challenging as they are not always marked well. Same was for Aeródromo De Garrucha (LEGH). But according to map the strip should point to a round-about. And that was my navigation landmark.

Unfortunately, I did mistake in the bush-trip planning. There is an airport runway length 922ft at 2666ft altitude. That is below C172 takeoff performance, but would be easy job for Sting S4. But that’s a problem for another day.

My first flight using SimBrief with the Fenix A320. This was… interesting. I think I learned a lot on this flight. I’m impressed with my troubleshooting abilities at least. My digital passengers were probably not in the least impressed. I’m really glad I got the Fenix A320. Very smooth, highly functional. A real challenge but so much fun.
