What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 2)

Amongst all other things about the sim i really like the colouring and shadings and what you can see in the reflections on parts of the airplane.
As i looked back an recording of an earlier flight last week and took/recovered some shots of a particular part of the flight in the vincinity of isdafjørd

Quick hop, Singapore to Penang. Pretty much text book. Cheers!

CYHO to CYPN in the Shorts 330

Made it to Kai Tak.

Visited Torres del Paine National Park. Departed SAWC, landed at SCPY, a dirt strip that is almost impossible to see from the air.
En-route to the park:

[Edit: You can clearly see in these pics, from the “line” running down the center, that the color correction is slightly different on each of my two 1360 x 768 1080p monitors.]

Finished Pyrenees bush-trip in Sting S4 in real weather: LEPG :airplane: LEUM :airplane: LESO
It was a bit chilly (0°C), it’s good S4 has heated seats.

took once again the C208 to fly this time in north america to canada ( KLWS → CYPS)

then while it was late, I took the comanche 250, had to move it and gave me the opportunity to enjoy a nice sun rise near PAAK to reach PAKO

0 nav aid in this area, I had to focus on few landmark as mount cleveland

after aprox 200 nm of flying island to island, saw the runway ! it was hard landing because I was a bit too fast, had a 25knot crosswind making my plane doing some wheelbarrowing

Perfect real weather today: Flight from Aubenas to Altisurface Bellegarde En Diois with one touch-and-go and two field landings:

Engine start at the birthplace of the Tanarg 912

CYPN to KROC in the shorts 330 ending my world tour in the Shorts 330 reading for my next world tour plans

Learning the ins and outs of complex aircraft is not really my favourite thing in the sim, and so there’s a bit of a queue. I was keeping the Transall C-160, which I bought in the Christmas sale and was really looking forward to flying, as a reward for finishing the BAe 146; but succumbed to temptation today and flew the C-160 from the grass strip of Delegate Airport (YDEG) in New South Wales - my takeoff was accompanied by a serenade from the stall horn, but I made it - to Canberra International (YSCB).

I had a hugely enjoyable low-level flight. You obviously can’t throw the C-160 around the way you would a fighter jet, but my, it’s a remarkably smooth-handling plane.

Made it to Canberra without hitting anything. I hadn’t realised how rough the terrain around Canberra could be.

KROC to KFWA in the Dash 7

Eurowings, Airbus A320-214, D-ABDT from Hamburg (EDDH) to Nantes (LFRS)

Dash 7 from KFWA to KDSM

Finished Aloha Hawaii bush-trip in WB-Sim C172 in real weather: HI25 :airplane: PHTO
I used flight following. And then after arriving to Hilo airport, I tuned tower, but there was not option to request landing. So I landed without permission  At least ATIS worked.

KDSM to Alliance in the Dash 7

Nice Côte d’Azur (LFMN) to Rimini Federico Fellini (LIPR) in the Vision Jet:

Since LFMN servers as airport for Monaco and LIPR serves San Marino it was all about connecting the mini states with the mini jet

The flight was quite spectacular, the coast line is really well made, only over Italy did I meet some low quality map tiles, otherwise it was really worth gawking outside the huge panorama window.

A couple of the old FS2004 activities, flying the cub around Mt. Rushmore, then the Spruce Goose around the shoreline of Long Beach & LAX. My main flight today was in the Grumman Goose from Ushuala (SAWO) to Carlos Ibanez (SCCI), with a couple of landings along the way.

Testing my scenery. Looking at some specific signs. Here, at Placerville (KPVF).

Melbourne YMML to Hamo YBHM in the A320ceo.

After landing at Hamilton Island I found a Vans RV-14 available for hire so I jumped in that and went for a bit of a scenic flight around the Whitsundays.

I flew over Shute Harbour.

Past Airlie Beach

And at the end of the flight I returned to land at Shute Harbour for afternoon tea in the cafe.
