Loved that game so much.
Just flew from Hay River to Yellowknife. Parked and came back 20 minutes later to find her all iced up!
Just got the freeware update for Yellowknife (which already looked good), so I’m interested in checking it out.
KMKE back to KROC in the FS studios Embrear 170LR
KROC to Savannah Hilton head in the md88
Decided to try the SR22, so I flew it from Bern (LSZB) to Lausanne (LSGL):
This was my first time in this plane and while many of it was similar to my only other Cirrus experience (the Vision Jet) it was also a lot different. I had to go around on my first attempt to land in 13kn crosswind and to be honest the second wasn’t much better either.
I was curious if I could handle it better in an airplane I know better, so I redid the flight in the DA62.
Aaaaand nope, I wasn’t any better in it. I found my way around better in the instruments, but did just as terrible on the landing as in the SR22.
Out of sheer scientific curiosity I repeated the flight in the Cirrus Vision Jet:
Though the numbers do not show it, this was by far better approach and landing than the previous ones. The ride in was bumpy, but I managed to land a lot more stable (horses and all) than in the props.

I took a little while after work this afternoon to revisit the Milviz/Blackbird FG-1D Corsair. Man, I forgot just how much aileron trim this beast takes to fly! Once I got a handle on that, I remembered why I enjoy it so much.
I want to buy it but wish it was on MS store. I like it when things get updated automatically rather than trying to hunt for them. I still might do it though because it did look good.
A trip down the coast of British Columbia today- Bella Coola (CYBD) to Port Mcneill (CAT5). Weather was not the best for VFR when I departed, especially with all the mountains lurking in the mist:
Heading down the sound at 1,500 ft, I kept to the center of the channel to avoid those mountains:
After turning southeast to follow the Kwatna river, the weather improved a lot:
Mid-day stop at Rivers Inlet (YRN):
Back in the air. This is Owikeno Lake:
Nekite Estuary:
Long Lake:
Almost there - Malcom Island, with Vancouver Island in the distance:
Port Mcneill. Once again, the phantom tree-planter has preceded me & placed a fir tree smack-dab on the centerline…
Maybe I should make a Wishlist item for MS/AS to add a family of beavers to the sim…
What did I do in MSFS today? I refueled at the upcoming freeware Corona (KAJO)
Did a cargo mail run in the Islander into a bunch of small strips. I dunno what it is about this plane, but I just really enjoy flying it.

Today I took a couple of Flight Replicas new Spitfire Mk.Vs out for a few aerobatic flights. It’s a lovely machine and there are small differences to all of them (at least most of them), like different wheel hubs, differences in windshield armor, propellers, mirrors, cannons, and more.
Here is a video of one of those flights over Compton Abbas:
