helo landable?
Another short flight, Edmonton to Saskatoon.
Coming in for the landing, my landing gear wouldn’t deploy, so I had to come up with an alternative method of landing
Headed to Guatemala City. Beautiful coastlines this evening, but then headed straight for some thunderstorms. Switched to IFR to have ATC guide me in. A bit of a bumpy ride down, but overall we did OK, if maybe a few shaken nerves…
Yes! Around 100 landable points in the oilfield, type Marine RM Bacia de Campos Oilfield in the Marketplace
The pilotable Super Tanker will be available very soon
Flew all around a bit of southern Ireland (and the spot where John Ford’s The Quiet Man was filmed all those decades back). Realized I had not installed the WU17 scenery, and it was still grand viewing.
Had to use the 135 as there are so many cool liveries for it, including this Garda one, that were not adapted to the 145 (could have used the action pack if so).
Homebase was the Garda location at Casement Aerodrome.
The lovely village of Cong
Since last post I’ve been flying a bunch…
Saskatoon => Regina => Winnipeg => Minnesota
Flew over Target Field, couldn’t find Xcel Energy Center, but honestly I didn’t know what it looked like until as I started to type this post
Fokker f28 4000 from Nassau to Hilton head island but crash landed on Hilton head due to throttle problems being stuck in full so another belly landing
Headed to San Jose, Costa Rica after exploring Guatemala City. Beautiful day for flying. I wasn’t aware of the extent of volcanic activity in the area! There are volcanos, both active and dormant, all over. Also listening to local radio stations, I discovered a mix of both Spanish and English, in both the music and advertisements.
I was finally able to get the live ship traffic added to the amazing MSFS 2024 Bing tiles.
This brings a whole new meaning to “As Real as It Gets”!
So, loaded the update and the Northern Ireland coast got dramatic. Also saw what pre-update mods I can now remove…
Minnesota to Omaha
Omaha to New Orleans
Finally a successful v22 flight from Hilton head island to Charlotte Douglas international airport
Awesome shots! I can’t wait to get up to the UK and Ireland!
Today I continued on from San Jose, CR to Panama City. Before heading into MPTO, I followed the Panama Canal and learned about her history, as well as some of the surrounding landmarks. Definitely some heavy turbulence today, and the clouds keep chasing me! I admit that I turned off live weather during my stretch along the canal: I had flown all that way and I wasn’t about to miss it. If only it was that easy in real life!
And my trip so far (along with tomorrow’s flight plan):
Took the Just Flight Hawk along the Suez Canal and along the Nile from Aswan Dam to an airbase just North of Cairo.
Canal southern entry point
Aswan High Dam
Hot day…
Neil.
I find that WU17 is absolutely amazing! Cannot wait to get back to my simulator.
