Livestream my thoughts on the Alpha and ask for opinions.
Heli-hover over viewers neighborhood just north of Colorado Springs and then go across the highway to visit the United States Air Force Academy, their Stadium and their Airfield.
Made a few highlight videos and focused shorts from the Alpha livestreams this past weekend.
Today I did a few things. Only one pictured below, my fav.
Got 707 liveries. Flew Air Force One Kennedy Era
Got CS C130E and flew US Coast Guard livery
Got LVFR A319. Enjoyed flying American Airlines around KSTL
-Got Caribbean Islands Pack 2. It has St Vincent Island. I’ve been there on humanitarian trips. Cool to see the old and new airports. Just wish we had a Liat Airlines Dash 8 in the aim. But the best part was seeing the Pirates of Caribbean movie set. Fun Easter egg.
Bought two planes today since they were on sale and I don’t like spending too much on new toys for my hangar.
Originally this was scheduled to be a much longer flight than it was, but after I started things out I really did dislike how the plane was, the throttle would constantly bounce from 0% to 100% for the longest of time until the plane got settled which made me make the flight much shorter than intended.
Took the Chinook out for the first time in a while. Did my usual flight through the mountains in North Wales, UK. On the way back I cecided I would tag the updated bridges from UK mainland to Anglesey. Having done that whell I just had to…
After a morning jaunt in the Alps near the Jungfraujoch in the Huey, I decided that when I got home from work I would pick up the H125. It’s very attractive at that price and I’ve been looking for a decent civilian heli. Plan on adding the Alouette to the stable as well. That suspension modeling is juicy!
Anyways, took off from Forwood Farm, some low level clouds. Climbed to 4000 feet above a never ending layer of low clouds, and pointed South. I got to grips with trimming the 125 out, flying above the clouds. I got a little bored and decided, let’s be illegal. I dropped down to 750ft, found a dual carriage way and followed it before seeing London appear through the now encompassing fog. Joined the Thames West of Parliament, and flew the river to London City.
The London photogrammetry looked amazing through the fog btw!
I thought I had the city pack and the Orbx GB regions installed but was pure “vanilla” sim. It looked crisp, no melting, some large trees but overall juicy! I might reinstall the city pack but the regions are getting reinstalled right now!
Finally got round to checking to see if World Update XVIII (who’d have thought there were so many Roman flight simmers?) had put an end to the river Moselle’s remarkable hill-climbing abilities.
I’ll have to return (in a few short weeks now!) to see if MSFS 2024 can iron things out.
This happens not long before the Moselle flows into the Rhine at Koblenz. There’s an airfield, Winningen (EDRK) which is very close to where this happens, if you want to go and see for yourself.
