What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 2)

The reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris this week encouraged me to visit it. The Jetson One can easily land in front of the main doors:

Alas, the interior is not as glorious as the images shown on the TV news:

Mohawk, New York to Pittsburgh International Airport
MSFS 2020

Charlotte to Portland (ME) in the 737 8 max

In the thick of it. Bonanza G36. MSFS 2024.

Still in 2020 as 2024 is not alot of fun on xbox.
Took a flight in the Iris T6.

Enjoy

Hi. Did you use the default Pearce air base, or a mod? I’m trying to find an up-to-date version as the MSFS 2020 airfield is poor, to say the least.

I flew the PMDG 737-600 from Seattle to Vancouver, Ca. with live weather and FSFTL traffic. A great and very realistic flight in MSFS 2020.
( I got my money refunded from FS24).

Spent the day grinding FS24 career mode. I think I’m now ready to ignore it for the foreseeable future. It’s waaaay too grindy. I understand that so is life, afterall I’m doing the same daily quest 2300 hours a year to keep my head above the water, but still…

I managed to finally save up for my own used C172 by delivering quite a few Bonanzas and Corvalis-es

But now I’d need to do at least 20 flightseeing tours (which are all the same) to save up for yet another C172 (now for 10x the price) to be able to transport people from A to B.

No. Just no.

Pittsburgh International Airport to Knox County, Maine

Last night, I was thinking about two things:
1 - attempting the career and seeing how badly I do.
2 - starting a blog, sharing stuff about my flights and photos, such as I do here.

While I debate about doing both, I did a short flight, it was very windy. I think my plane was sideways through most of it.

Have you considered a dedicated thread here?

Viz.:

They do the equivalent of a blog here - with the advantage that it’s here and easier to follow since I’m here anyway.

What say ye?

@Jimrh1993
In that regard, I guess I already do have somewhat of a blog on this site as 90% of my flight posts are actually in this category that we’re speaking in right now
The few that aren’t in this category are usually the Friday Flights.

The idea was more so to gather everything in one place. Perhaps with a few random thoughts and notes mixed in to that may or may not have to do with flying.

Hi Robbo, no, just the standard, I’m on Xbox X so not a lot of choices for that sort of thing. I live in Adelaide so do a lot of flying around that area as there is a large GA airport (Parafield), Adelaide International, and Edinburgh Military in close proximity to each other. To me this makes realistic flying more fun and challenging as the departure and arrival procedures from Parafield are quite strict. I have a Parafield add on which is awesome and Adelaide International which is good but a resource hog at times.

Just was testing the newest patch today on PC. I did take photos of two different flights, 1st lot were in Alaska and the 2nd was arrival into San Antonio. Upon landing my FPS tanked and went down to a slideshow lol. Strange considering I had a smooth 60+ fps the entire way.

We are slowly getting there with this sim.

Nothing. Today is the first day I haven’t run the sim. After blocking the API, I had nothing to do there… It became impossible to play a career.

Territory #5. Flew around Northern Ireland. A couple of enjoyable hours flight time in the Cirrus Vision Jet G2. This concludes exploring the UK over some 30 hours of flying.

Airfields used were: EGAC Belfast City, EGAB Enniskillen, EGAA Belfast Aldergrove and EGAE City of Derry.

Historical and political buildings and monuments enjoyed alongside lakes, coasts and green scenery.

Next stop, south to the Republic of Ireland.
