Flew the Vegas Strip at night, last time I flew the Vegas Strip was in MSFS2020 and at times I found it choppy, so I was curious how it would be in MSFS2024 and at night. It was very smooth and enjoyable. (youtube link in profile if you prefer it)

South over the mountains and coast of Oman. Starting at Khasab (OOKB), we head to Dibba:

Dibba (OMDI) is a lovely little airfield nestled in a date palm grove:

Further south we reach the coast and Fujairah Intl:

Then follow the coastline over the plain to Suhar (OOSH):

Suhar (OOSH) is closed, which basically means you can safely land there without anyone noticing! They have even painted big yellow X parking spots along the runway for you to use - no need for any taxiing at this airport:

Next, a very short flight from Baluza (HE22) to Port Said (HEPS) on the Nile delta:

Leaving the FBO:

Turning from downwind to base at Port Said. The airport is in the distance by the coast:

Continued my trip along Highway 50 from Ely, NV to Grand Junction, CO (sorry, Utah, I flew right over you) in the King Air C90. Once in Grand Junction, I traded in the King Air for the Draco to do some exploring around Colorado. Such a fantastic little beast!

The winter wonderland was magnificent, heading up to Aspen, then down to Buckhorn, and Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional. With each landing, I’m getting better and by the end of the day, I managed not to wildly veer off the runway once the tailwheel hit the ground. I did however run into a problem: about halfway through the final leg, my flaps failed. I think it’s because I extended them at too high of an airspeed. That said, we still made it to the ground, and I am loving the Draco and the Carenado King Air more and more.

From LV to LA, going to be a multi-flight day. Think I’m heading to Easter Island via Drone shortly.

Today was interesting. A HOLY COW moment in Hawaii. :crazy_face:I was playing with some settings today and got tied up looking at the new tire tracks, Terrain and such, and out the corner of my eye, WHAT…COWS…I say? Spun around for a closer look, and they weren’t having it  lol. They started scattering when I approached them. Had a ball chasing um round! Thought I was in Texas for a minute rounding um up. :laughing:Nope it was Hawaii. Still laughing bout it..Happy Flying all
Whats that moving around over there?

Lets have a closer look

Then it was on

Figured I’d lean into that “low-n-slow” focus on 2024 and did a little bush flying around Yosemite. Got to admit the ground level looks nice out in the wilderness.

Originally I talked about doing two flights today, the second flight I was going to go to Easter Island. Although I quickly learned I was mistaken, as I thought my drone or the hypersonic jet from MSFS2020 made its way to MSFS2024. I was wrong for both. So instead my second flight will be the Friday fly-in that I chose to do at night because I really like the night-life especially since they made the changes that they did in MSFS2024

On a more serious note, after the Cessna cow chase, I took this girl for a rip. She was good and strong with power. I’m setting up a profile for her now. Try to Tame her down a bit. She felt capable of some good flights in the Future for my style of flying…

[FS24] Before I hopped into the cockpit, I installed some recently arrived new Corsair RAM, doubling my memory from 32 to 64 GB. Easy install and immediately noticeable difference in the sim in both the GA aircraft and flying tubes.

Once back in the Carenado King Air, we continued our trip along Highway 50, taking off from Grand Junction to Pueblo. This was a beautiful late-afternoon flight, but I got a little surprise about 20 miles out from Pueblo: my left engine completely failed! Despite attempts at a restart, nothing worked, so it looked like we were going to limp into the field. Nerves were high for those last few miles and there was a palpable sense of relief once the wheels were on the ground!

Still not sure what went wrong, but we will have a mechanic check out the old girl in the morning. Definitely an exciting evening!

Territory #11. Tour of Spain. From Gibraltar up to the North East, then across to Bilbao. Back down via Madrid to the Costa del Sol. Out East to the Balearic Islands. Then up the East coast of Spain to Barcelona and the Pryrenees. 14 hours flight time to explore this imposing country.

Airfields used were: LEJR Jerez, LEBZ Badajoz (not in the sim), LETE Morante (Badajoz), LESA Salamanca, LECO A Coruña, LEAS Asturias, LEBB Bilbao, LEHC Huesca, LEMD Madrid–Barajas, LEBA Córdoba, LEMG Malaga, LEGR Granada, LEAL Alicante, LEIB Ibiza, LEMH Menorca, LEPA Mallorca, LEVC Valencia, LEBL Barcelona, LEGE Girona and LESU Seo De Urgel.

A shoutout to Badajoz Airport (LEBZ) which doesn’t exist in the sim. I set down briefly in a giant flat field (Photo #7).

The final stop was Seo De Urgel (LESO) in the Pyrenees, which is effectively Andorra airport (despite not being within mountain-locked principality). Andorra is the next destination.

Took the C90 GTX for a night ride from Budapest (LHBP) to Wien (LOWW) using BeyondATC with traffic:

For some unknown reason the left enginge stopped twice during the flight, I have no idea why. There was quite enough fuel, I have not been tampering with the condition levers or anything. Otherwise the flight itself was quite okay. However after landing the brakes just stuck and I could not figure out how to release them. I’ve seen this on several aircraft in FS24, sometimes pressing and releasing the brakes help, sometimes not.

Took the Vjet for a spin today, checking out some new settings. After taking off, I decided to land at Dillingham in Hawaii and make a few more minor adjustments. THEN…Oh NO..The cows have made it to the other side of the island. lol. They are determined to get me now for chasing them on the other side. They ran out the bushes and tried to hamper my landing. What! I held course and they ran back in the bushes. I found um after sitting still, took off, made a few low passes and scattered um again. Somebody better be rounding up some cows. I’m looking for a freezer addon as we speak.
