Was it canceled ? I was hoping to use it for pc but I cant find a single thing on it not even a pic.
I’ve not heard of this before, not since the old Sidewinder days.
I’ve never heard of it either.
Hello @Sparkamatrix,
Can you be more specific? I’m not aware of any announced Microsoft-branded flight controls. We have partnered with several peripheral companies including Honeycomb, Thrustmaster, and Turtle Beach to provide great flight control hardware for both the PC and Xbox platforms.
Thanks,
MSFS Team
You probably mean the Turtlebeach Velocity One Flight, which I have and it’s awesome in use on both PC and Xbox. As a retired Pilot myself I love it.
Can’t say I have ever heard of this either. First controller news I recall hearing from Microsoft is that they announced back in autumn of 2020 that they would partner with Honeycomb to produce a series of Xbox compatible controllers (the first of which are being released now). At that time the early partnership with existing brand made me think that it’s unlikely Microsoft would itself be planning to return as a brand to flight controller market.
Been closely following MSFS development and associated hardware development since Jan 2020. I’ve never heard any rumours or announcements of MS releasing any flight sim hardware. I think you may be mistaken and confusing it with some other brand.
It’s been some time since MS has produced its own gaming controllers outside of Xbox controllers.
I’m glad you liked yours. I just took mine back to the store yesterday. To me it seemed too much like a gimic and a toy. I also reached out to TB for some help and their reply had nothing to do with the questions I asked them. It was as if they never even read my questions. I do more airline flying so I went with the Thrustmaster Boeing yoke and throttles. And I already own the Thrustmaster Airbus stick and throttle for the FBW A320.
You got me looking at that! What do you pair it with for rudder pedals? Do you have any issues with jitters on the levers?
I have no issues with it at al, it works great and gets me close to the real thing without costing thousands. As for rudder pedals you can pair it with what you would feel comfortable with
Mine is in series with a HOTAS throttle. So it can add some potential binding conflicts with quadrants attached. There really aren’t too many options for pedals.
On Xbox there is grand total of one option at the moment, which you seem to already have. Honeycomb has upcoming pedals that can be connected with their Xbox hub, also I noted that the box of the Honeycomb hub shown on unboxing video indicated support for the existing Logitech-Saitek pedals (as I understand some of old Saitek crew went to Honeycomb, probably why).
I believe Turtle Beach is also working on a set.
I think they used to make a set back in FSX
Its just like the Turtle Beach yoke and throttle setup , it even had the xbox button in the middle of the yoke. I’m dumbfounded nobody’s heard of it.
What you’re thinking of most likely is the Turtle Beach one.
I’m not, Microsoft announced around the same time they were coming out with a yolk and throttle similar to the Turtle Beach, I remember clearly because I’m not a fan of Turtle Beach.
A Google search brings up nothing about this.
Other than this thread, as I found this morning.
have been keeping my eyes open for new peripherals over the past two years and never heard of anything like that coming ftom Microsoft either.
BTW it’s a yoke. Yolk is the yellow stuff you’ll find inside an egg ![]()
