It looks like the spacebar, or “Space” is bound to “Run”, and “Take Picture”.
I find the problem I reported here: Flashing lights near bottom of field of view in VR to be too distracting to fly in VR. So I’m back to flying msfs2020.
VR in MSFS is a must for me. I woudn’t have updated without VR.
And: My VR is working great right from the start so far, of course in the sim itself there are a lot of bugs.
Except for one Issue: Occassionally (no pattern) I have a strange black rectangle in front of me - restart of the flight sometimes helps, sometimes i need to restart the Sim, sometimes just turning off/on VR helps. And a second, the mouse thing, but i use controller or try to switch back to 2D then again to VR, then it works.
Else, didn’t need to do any adjustments. However, as with 2020, it is important to keep the graphics settings not at highest level especially in areas with complex sceneries
my rig: Vive Pro 2 (OpenXR/SteamVR), 5800x3d, 4090
Who the hell thought that SHIFT was a good idea to map the VR reset view, when half the other key binds are using shift!
brake is on space bar OOTB, which actually makes sense IMO
Using virtual desktop and the Quest 2 I use the left controller and double tap the meta button to exit out of VR then double click again to enter VR and the black box is gone
yes similarly i do (ctrl+tab), doesn’t work always though. I guess it will be fixed in a few months
Using the Reverb G2, overall, not bad. My only gripe so far is the clouds look like the detail is set to Low when I have my settings to Ultra. Terrain looks great.
Not to mention changing the view point is not arrow keys anymore. They seriously went backwards on alot of things. It is pretty odd lol.
What kind of settings are you running? My G2 is stuttery in cities. Smooth in rural areas. Anyone else find that when you look around the shadows on the ground move? And the lights at night? If you close one eye the lights disappear lol
Has anyone figured out how to comfortably read the text at the top of the PoI markers in Career Mode? As I look up, the marker grows, constantly taking the label out of my line of sight.
I can just about read them, if I move my eyes without moving my head. A real case of raised eyebrows on that one.
Have not had that many issues with VR except one. Using Pimax Crystal and when I attempt to fly the 787 in VR I am five inches from the instrument panel. Every other plane works fine except one I paid the extra money to get. Very frustrating to say the least
They seem to move up at a constant speed, so if you look up quickly enough there’s a short chance to read them before they get too high.
If space bar is brake that probably explains why I’ve landed with my brakes on. I’ve been wondering about that
Definitely rebinding it to VR camera reset. In VR I use almost no key bindings.
I’d better get some Deep Heat at the ready then, as my neck muscles aren’t what they used to be.
Lean forward when you center the VR view. Then sit normally and you will be further from the instrument panel.
When I actually get it to work, stunning. But it only works maybe 25% of the time, and that is being kind.
I think we all know what has happened. Asobo made a flight for microsoft. Microsoft named it fs2024.
Therefore microsoft insisted it be released in 2024, ready or not.
It is nowhere near ready.
Who do we blame?
Of course it is microsoft. Heads must roll.
This is happening to me too. Have you found any solutions?
We have the same setup.
Put render at 100 and try this for a change.
Also in nvdia set texture quality to extra high
.for me this rocks
For example the second last line put to normal is much sharper then quality
Good luck
Just for reference, RAM usage in 2D for me was about 45Gb of 64Gb. Yet to check VR (PCL) performance.
