What nationality or type do you feel you are interested in? Rather than us making outlandish suggestions because there are loads of russian planes I would like but I suspect would be difficult to get hold of plans and pictures. So it would help if you could narrow down your development criteria please.
Simply Popular “enough” amongst the Simmers to facilitate 6 Months or more of constant development work ..
Some obscure Russian crop sprayer for example wouldn’t offer the potential return we need as a Business .. whereas .. A highly complex jetliner would take way too long in development to be able to pay for itself..
SO … with this in mind .. “we” Would prefer to build Quirky Interesting Aircraft that would have a decent following..
Having done some prelim research.. How about the DH 86 Express as an example ?

Dash 7 please, although I do like the interesting option you do present above.
We are in short supply of the older regional turboprop though. This would also fit nicely into the Career mode airliner lineup and would be popular.
