What was your first addon on flight simulator? How many addons do you have now? For me, PMDG DC-6 and have 4 addons.
Tiny Taxi Ribbon now replaced with Subtle Taxi Ribbon, the default are just so ⊠ugh just blue and huge, small and green you have to look for the little guys sometimes.
How many varies flight to flight and should expand dramatically soon after SU10 goes live.

First addons I got was probably something like the ENGM airport and the TBM improvement mod.
First payware aircraft I got was the CRJ
What i meant was⊠i wonder how people have no paid addons whatsoever or only just discovered the highly addictive and $$$ world of addonsâŠ
My first was the CRJ⊠when it first came out⊠that relationship didnât blossom initially as i thought it flew like the A32nx and everything was animated⊠6 months went by before i tried it again and wow⊠with some youtube counseling⊠i absolutely fell in love with that planeâŠ

My first addon was World Update 1

My first paid item was IndiaFoxtEchoâs Aermacchi MB-339, almost 1 year ago now (I was quite late to the party in buying the game!).
Now, including freeware, I have about 1800 items lol. About 100 of which are aircraft.
I think total out of those, about 80 mods are Payware (scenery, utilities, but mostly planes).
Yep, you could say I caught the bug!
EDIT: biggest (actually the only) regret = Reno full pack. Would have rather bought 2 quality planes with that cash, oh wel!

My first were two add-ons: The Mario Noriega C22J and ORBX Edgley Optica. Absolutely awful planes, tbh.
But, they were cheap and I was dumb enough to buy them. I have since then been doing research and watching reviews before I buy anything.
I now have the HJet, Beechcraft 18, F-35, PC-12, LearFan, a couple Livery packs and one Airport.
Thatâs quite nice I think? Visually a bit dated but it flies well, and itâs unlike anything else available in the sim.

Well⊠this is actually the first flightsim where i actually have money for payd addons⊠so i might have gone a bit nuts.
Think i started with the lovely ATSimulations Piaggio/FW P149
Then along came the Indiafox T-45
and then all hell broke loose..
Got some of my favorite airports as they came rolling off the community and developers productionlines like Bristol, Southampton and Washington DCâs Ronald Reagan International, Bryce Canyon, Innsbruck, but before those a guy stole my heart with Meigs Airport (only Flightsim OGâs will know the significance of this quant little airport) Then Parallel 42 came out with the Skypad and later the Freedomfox⊠Milviz dropped a bomb with the Corsair, my childhood hero plane (baa baa Blacksheep series) and in the meantime some updates to terrains like for Sedona, Zion National Park and Arches national Park from Geo (freeware!!!) cought my eye⊠then Puffin Flightâs amazing âWe love VFRâ series made the default terrain/cities become alive with chimneys, masts, cranes etc (you should check it out, itâs awsome) and the Uwe Light mod, which changed the landing and taxilights of a load of airplanes, âŠAnd ofcourse as of late, i bought into my other favorite airliners: The PMDG DC6, 737 and the Just Flight BAE 146, which is actually the airliner i use the most for short city hops⊠i have some freeware airplanes that are amazing too the list still goes on, with only a couple of liveries, but iâm no longer going to bore you, but amaze you with just how many addons Flightsim actually still operates wtihout sh**tting itself..>> well, iâm amazed, actually.
My community folder contains 150 folders. I remember my content manager mentioning somewhere around 650 items. Quite a load of freeware, all the world updates⊠itâs quite amazing, this title.

But⊠whenever i download something and itâs not upto spec, it gets deleted instantly. If a plane is â â â â â â , like the BigTireProduction Trent Palmer freedomfox, that one got buried, it floats like a kite, dev never fixed anything⊠the one from Parallel 42 is the one to get.

My first payware was the Carenado C182T back when it launched.
I couldnât even tell you how many add ons I have. Mostly theyâre freeware, but most of my add-on planes are payware. I have all Carenado planes that arenât tail draggers, the SWS Kodiak and RV14, MilViz C310, FSW C414, and a few others.
For airports, I have all the Roman Design payware airports since I spend summers flying mostly in Ontario. I own pretty much all pay and freeware addons available for both Florida and SoCal since thatâs where I fly in winter.
Iâve also made donations to several freeware authors for their free stuff that I use because their work is great.
Probably the SPAD bride module for driving Logitech flight panels.
I mean it depends. I have a couple hundred spent on DCS and i havenât touched it in months lol
FS2020 however, it started with Flightbeam KDEN and Self Loading Cargo (which at the time seemed like a good idea lol). Didnât buy another addon until the PMDG 737 i think. Then i got a Navigraph Subscription (paid for a year and it 100% has paid for itself after 3 months), then after a Logitech Radio panel because my first vatsim flight was chaos and then 2 weeks later Spad.NEXT then the 738 they day that dropped. I was peer pressured to getting GSX and iâm sure PMDG will get my money for the 777 when that drops.

I was a day 1 XBox user. Upon release, it was just LVFR airports and one Carenado plane (either the 170 or the 182) that were in the Marketplace along with a few others. I think there were only 40 products for XBox on release. To be honest, I donât remember which one I bought first.
Now a days, I probably have 1000 - 2000. Yes. Iâm on PC now. I know I can only have anywhere between 1400 - 1500 addons loaded before you canât open Content Manager anymore. And the sims base files and world updates count into that 1500. So I use AddonLinker to manage what is loaded currently.
And before people say it, I DID at first buy just about every addon that came out for XBox. These days, I donât buy everything. If Iâm flying a bush trip, and there are airports or scenery that are on the bush trip, I will buy them. There are specific areas I will buy for, such as France, South Africa, Florida, coast from Seattle up to Alaska. And I buy anything that looks interesting.
But yes, I was finding I was buying airport that I was never even taking off or landing from. It wasnât that I âhad to collect them allâ that I see people mock on these forums. It was more excitement about the places I would get to see. âOooh yeah, I always wanted to see thereâ. But⊠the world is a big place. And I had to admit I wasnât getting to explore as fast as I could buy. So I learned to not buy so fastâŠ
