Such an odd release time.
I have no expectation (to avoid any disappointment) but imagine if they added realism on the great barrier reefā¦ depth effect in the oceans and sea creatures are way too much to ask, right?

There was some talk a while back, suggesting that tides would become part of the sim. Not for this update though.

Is it just the sim updates that break the sim or should I fly as much as I can before I have to download a world update of an empty continent Iām never going to fly in before Asobo destroys all the planes or something like that? Remember that time when we couldnāt land our planes after an update and it took weeks to release a fix?

I expect the primarily it will be the addition of the Australian scenery with a few urgent fixes thrown in (if they canāt wait till SU8).
I have to be honest, I expect my ORBX addons to break, I expect CTDs, I also look fwd to slammed servers whilst trying to get this WU. I do think in the end, Australia will look better, and welcome the new airports and photogrammetry. Happy to hear they are smaller airports too, being a GA only virtual pilot
Do we know if this update is ONLY Australia, or is that just the main focus? Iām curious if maybe some near-ish areas like PNG or ever NZ might see some love too?
I believe, it is detrimental to make sure to Copy n Save all of your Add-Ons out of your Community Folder prior updating for the WU today and any WUpdates going forward to prevent issues.

I expect a couple more CTD-inducing issues being introduced, on top of the CTD issues already present. This is a forum, I will gladly state my opinion when asked for it

I believe that they said (during the interview) that they had hired a team of developers from Australia to do the update. That ought to have insured accuracy and interest in getting all they could into the update.

Iām hoping they changed the Live thunderstorms setting from āNot very many at allā to āabout rightā.
And as Iāve knackered my shoulders, Iām also hoping theyāve fixed Autopilot and AI landings generally.
I hope that this WU wont destroy any already working code 
For ex. that Yokes and Hardware will be working as it was.
Second is more stability. With the latest NV drivers im having some troubles and time to time simulator just crash. It never happened before. In theory its nvidia fault, but yetā¦maybe they have found where was the problem?
What i truly wish is some kind of menu - in the far future - where You can check procedures for the location You have choose. For ex. when i will choose EPWA as origin there should be at least a link to a site with all procedures. Hard to makeā¦but that is what i wish in the future
PS. And maybe 10fps more?

ItĀ“s been a very good period for me with the sim.
Some minor glitches with connectivity and real world weather, but nothing too bad.
ItĀ“s been stable, smooth, and absolutely beatiful. Still a work in progress, but until we get there, IĀ“m enjoying the ride.
So, since all my flying is within Europe with the A32NX, the only thing IĀ“m looking forward for this update, is that it doesnĀ“t break anything.
Remembering past experiencesā¦ IĀ“m genuinely worriedā¦
If they carry through with the plan of NO NEW CODE, but only world content in this update, then overall it should be fine. Not saying there wonāt be issues with the content itself. As we saw with each world update, there are always issues with sceneries, textures, PG data, etc that crop up. I would expect it to have minimal impact on the sim overall.

I expect that unless someone has a third party version of an airport that comes handcrafted in the update, that things will go relatively fine. People that do have duplicate airports have the potential of a CTD based on the bug I tried to report that is in the Content Manager lookup.
A new Spotlight Event would be nice please
