Also, this DLSS 4 shows up in the overlay as DLSSv3 and dll’s are 310..
Is this intended?
If this ISNT the “official DLSS 4”, why are we calling it 4?

Did you seriously expect Asobo to be ready? I have zero faith in them to do anything correct or on time. At least this way they never disappoint.
Do you have 3xxx series or 4xxx card to get two times frame rate?
From my understanding you will need the DLSS FG file too for using it with a GTX 40… card and FG set to on.
I’m rockin the 4070ti
How can you know if you are on dlss 4 with both sims?
That helps:
UI setup for show the DLSS info on the screen
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NGXCore]
“ShowDlssIndicator”=dword:00000400
UI setup for clear DLSS info at on the screen
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NGXCore]
“ShowDlssIndicator”=dword:00000000
I don’t have either of those lines in my registry. Under NGXcore I have a Default, FullPath and Installed.
I’m wondering about this too. Is DLSSv3 in this text actually important? Or are the version numbers the main indicator of what DLSS version we are running?
Seems like this is a rabbit hole we really should not have to be knowingly going down. Driver and sim together should just be taking care of this amazing new level of clarity….
You need to manually add an entry to the system registry. Copy the code below
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NGXCore]
"ShowDlssIndicator"=dword:00000400
paste it into Notepad and save the file as DLSS_Indicator.reg (not as a text file, this is very important). Then run the file and agree to make changes to the system registry.
Ok, nice. But how do I turn it off if it’s enabled via the registry? Manually delate?
So save file as DLSS_Indicator_ON.reg
Time for DLSS_Indicator_OFF.reg
Copy the code below
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NGXCore]
"ShowDlssIndicator"=dword:00000000
paste it into Notepad and save the file as DLSS_Indicator_OFF.reg
If in the future you want to enable the display of the DLSS version, use DLSS_Indicator_ON.reg file.
If you want to disable it, use the DLSS_Indicator_OFF.reg file.
same here Can change 2020 but greyed out in 2024
Sorry to be dense here..
But I installed the script, seems to go fine, but in the game there’s nothing. Do I have to do something to enable it beyond run that registry key?
Tell me, how do I make this indicator line appear not at the top of the window but at the bottom? Otherwise, it closes the simulator’s menu bar.
We should not have to “play” with all those files and tools, to make it work, it’s full non sense (and that came from a PC engineer for decades)!
Cyberpunk 2077 work out of the box with the new DLSS 4. With my RTX 4070 TI Super, I was playing 4K max settings but DLSS Balanced and Path Tracing OFF. Now I just launch the game and I can play 4K max settings, including Path Tracing ON, DLSS on Performance, and for a far better image quality (better than old DLSS Quality in any case) and better framerate than before, without me doing anything to any files, without downloading tools and changing this or this, creating registry files and changing binary values, etc.
The way things should be done on Devs side. Clean.
I agree with you for 100%.
It’s absurd to have to do all the things some people doing here.
I game has to be developed by the developers and not by the users.
All the changes users make are impossible for developers to trace.
When there are problems with the game like CTD’s then who is the blame, the developers or the people who change things there way.
The upgrade from Nvidia to DLSS 4.0 is not working as it should be and the question is if that’s the fault of Nvidia or is the game not yet compatible with the new DLSS 4.0 overlay?
I think the last option, because everybody can see the difference between MSFS2024 and 2020, both have different options available in the app.
Why else can Cyberpunk 2077 work right out of the box with the new Nvidia driver and the MS sims not. Cyberpunk 2077 was ready for it and the MS Sims where not.
My sim (2024) is showing preset K being used and all I did was set the DLSS model preset in the Nvidia app to latest, and swapped the files via DLSS swapper. I did not need to do anything with profile inspector. It seems unnecessary unless theres a reason its needed? I use DLSS+DLAA (no frame gen) fwiw
