Where are the official DLSS 4.0 *.dll files for MSFS2020 and 2024?

I think that Xplane is nothing in compare to the MS flight Sims.
The money and man power that’s available for the development of XP is a few procent of what’s Microsoft can do.
If Microsoft want’s the best Flight game now and in the future and also want happy customers then they have to use all there resources.

Laminar has had 30 years. Microsoft are the Publisher. Asobo are the devs. People seem to want to forget this.

A reality check - Asobo has produced the best two flightsims I have seen (an Ive been simming since the early 80’s). They have also expanded the simming userbase by millions. They also constantly update and improve and give you free stuff. They also drop the ball now and again. They also engage with the userbase waaaaay more than the old MS or P3d ever did. Lest we forget.

Is everything rosie? No but then it never was, isn’t now and never will be but now is the very best time to be a simmer

If you guys wanna test, Streamline 2.7.2 released by Nvidia couple days ago. I am not sure what Asobo will do with DLSS4.

It’s not supposed to give fps improvements (vs DLSS 3), it’s supposed to give higher clarity at slightly less performance. Or do you mean vs TAA?

All working fine now 2024 …. k rev

Yes, but what choice do we have?

  1. Complain and do nothing, staying on whatever DLSS version Asobo implements.
  2. Do whatever is necessary to implement the changes ourselves, and be grateful we have knowledgable and helpful members here who can help us.

I choose door #2.

There is some truth to that. But it’s up to each of us whether to go down the rabbit hole. We need to only do things that can be undone.

Do what you want with this and after days of experimenting the improvement is less then you are hoping for.

The solution has to come from Asobo and Nvidia,
They can bring us the improvement they promised.

I did all the tricks in the book, including the Streamline integration but nothing give me the performance and stability that i want.
I am back on the old driver and that gave me the best and stable performance for now.

Ok thanks. However people say they get huge FPS improvements. So maybe it’s on higher card 40, 50. I’m on 2060.

But true, it is clearer, including the instruments which is a good gain.

I know I’ll sound like a broken record here, but…

FS24 is completely stable.

After using DLSS Swapper to update to v310.1.0 I’m getting good FPS/ Latency numbers @ 4K using DLSS4 Quality with Preset J (as selected with nVidia Profile Inspector.)

I’m on nVidia driver v566.12, and I don’t use the nVidia app.

Glass cockpit blurriness is much improved, as is the clarity of scenery overall. For all practical purposes, aliasing is a thing of the past. So much so that I could use DLSS Performance if I wanted more FPS. But I don’t need more than what I’m getting with DLSS Quality.

I haven’t done the registry edit suggested above. I might, though…

There are people who saying all kind of things and promise you heaven.
I believe what i see and stay with two feed on the ground.

There is no DLSS 4.0 overlay possible with the v566.12 driver.
Because it is not there!!
Don’t tell us story’s. :-1:

@BegottenPoet228 didn’t mention having a DLSS overlay, so I have no idea why you gave a thumbs down.

During gameplay, DLSS overlay is visible only after making registry changes, which I have mentioned multiple times.
DLSS overlay is not required, so if someone doesn’t want it, they don’t need to edit the system registry.

I made a mistake. I checked, and I’m running v566.14.
Not sure what you mean about DLSS Overlay.
Did you mean the registry hack? Because I said:

ETA: I did however download DLSS Swapper 1.1.5, which has an option for an overlay. I’m guessing it did the registry edit.

There is no DLSS 4.0 as you said.

DLSS v310.2.1 (as shown in the overlay during flight) is DLSS 4.

Prove me wrong.

So they say, but I have not seen the improvements that DLSS 4.0 overlay should have with this DLSS v310.2.1. *.dll files. I think this is tin air.

That’s a different discussion.

I was fixed on MSFS2024 and did not much with the old 2020 version.
I switched back to v566.36 driver because i had no performance gain with DLSS 4 overlay in the 2024 version of the sim.

But now i tested the 2020 version on the old driver v566.36 with DLSS v310.2.1 and Preset J.

My mouth fell open!

Where i normaly have a low <40 fps on EDDF with DLAA, i now have 87 fps 1%L 72 fps on EDDF.

FBW A320, Live Weather, AI Air traffic, Settings high, DLAA, FG ON, Resolution 3x 1920x1080 triple mon. config. CPU: 5800X3D, GPU: RTX4070 Super 12GB, System RAM: 64 GB.

London city looks much better in DLAA now i have enough performance in MSFS2020.

Disable FG save changes and quit to desktop.
Try again without FG

That was originally a joke from my side but exactly this was just confirmed in the developer stream
