Where is the MSFS 2024 community Folder?

I just browsed to the folder and pinned it to the quick access list.

You can move your community folder within the sim. Go to My Library and click on the little gear next to the search box. It will then let you select where you want Community to go which also modifies the configuration file for you. Don’t click on the larger gear in the upper right corner to change the community location, it will take you to settings instead. You can use it to change the location of your rolling cache though. They should be in the same place but unfortunately their not.

not worked for me. doesn’t matter what I do, nothing appears in my marketplace. It’s infuriating. Yes I have tried add-on linker, different drives, putting something small on LOCALDATA link.. nothing and I mean NOTHING is appearing inside the sim.

I thought that the marketplace is not operational yet:

I tried that. On steam version. It doesn’t seem to work. It makes the folders, but anything you put in the new community folder doesn’t appear in the library. The only way i could get everything to show up was to use the C drive community folder location. I tried the little wheel in game and I tried modifying the path in the CFG file.

Just reinstall it then

Library DOESN’T work either! Custom Community folder works just fine, all addons I add show up in game. NOT in My Library

That is a bug that has been pointed out and discussed in several different threads now. Hopefully it gets fixed when they finish rolling out 2020 content and all the rest of the Marketplace features that are connected to the Library (like the ability to disable/not use individual Marketplace packages we no longer want to use).

I know. I was replying to a post above

I did it! Mklink worked for the community folder! Tomorrow I’ll try to do more symbolic links for the other folders. This could be a workaround for anyone who cannot get the library to properly point at another location. I’ll post a full tutorial in the morning.

OK but there is somthing strange in my folder.
msfs 2024 buy XBOX for PC and i have 2 path that go to comunity folder

THIS “”“C:\Users\francis\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Packages”“” with the three folder you show here and

THIS other “”" C:\Users\francis\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages"“” with a comunity an official folders.

After that WHERE must i copy the data FROM 2020 version ?
It is possible i hope to make a simbolic link in the new 2024 to the folder froom 2020. but before i test simlink etc, i must be sure to use the good folder.
THANKS

We shouldn’t have to practice this kind of maneuver to install a game with all its components on a disc of our choice, very often bought and chosen on purpose.

Guys, it’s useless, leave this folder alone for now until we have clearer directives from Microsoft
currently there is nothing to put inside so the problem of where it is doesnt matter

SimHanger has just posted an excellent tutorial on the MSFS 2024 Community folder. How it works, how to relocate it, and how to install addons etc.

What genius instructions from the affable SimHanger - they work perfectly.

It has been mentioned multiple times earlier in this thread where Community folder is located on the disk and what to do if you want it in a different location. All it takes is the ability to read and understand the information provided.

Is it this complex? I just want my mods in my FS20 community folder to show up in FS24
(without being altered with, since Im using them in FS20 as well).

Any easy 1 - 2 - 3 steps? =)

Not complex at all..

This is what I did:
Created new packages / community folder on my preferred drive.
Re directed MSFS24 to use that (umpteen links and vids on how to do this)
Just drag and drop/copy as required from the 2020 folder into the new 2024 community folder.

So we need double community locations, one for 20 and one for 24?

Not sure if you ‘need’ them
but it works for me!

My plan is to slowly empty my 2020 folder over the next few months and move them into 2024 (after checking they work!)
and then eventually mothballing my 2020.

Why do I have so many aircraft!!
