Merlin single-seat light sport aircraft: aluminum construction, high wing, 60 HP engine, ~90-knot cruise at 2.5 gallons per hour with the newer v-twin 4-stroke. Sold as a kit plane, with parts built in Czech Republic. Theoretically very cost-competitive versus 2-seaters thanks to its lower purchase price, cheaper engine replacement cost, and low fuel usage.
Would be an interesting step in between the very slow ultralights and the 100-knot 2-seaters.
