Which Aircraft are at the top of your wishlist for third-party devs to make?

Canadair CL-44. We’re seriously lacking in bigger turboprops in the sim and this would be a good one. I’ve been talking with an older gentleman that flew as a flight engineer on them in the 60s (incidentally for the exact airline in the picture) and he was talking about how much power they had. He said during line checks, the chief pilot would shut down one engine on approach and then on the go around shut down a second engine and no matter what, when you poured the coals to her she’d climb even on just two engines. I want to experience a plane that does that. He had a lot of great things to say about the plane.

When I was a kid, one of those used to fly low over my house while inbound to KGSO. It was full of Wrangler jeans, or supplies for that company, or whatever. I still remember how loud it was and how mad my dad would get. We lived miles from the airport, and they had no real need to be flying at tree-top level that far out. All I know is I loved seeing it fly over!

That’s good stuff. I bet them old turboprops made quite a racket flying that low. Need that in the sim and crank up the speakers to feel the sound.

I love the TBM as well and fly it the most in sim. Also understand how others have mentioned its similarities to the TBM but it is a popular choice in its price point. Its cross shopped with the TBM and Vision Jet (plus I just like turboprops).

The E1000 has better performance (admittedly some are marginal) over the TBM. Specifically top speed, max cruise altitude and climb performance. Agreed on what you called out as well, another big thing about the E1000 in the cabin is the continuous pieces of glass in front of the pilot and co-piot versus the TBM. Realize there are similarities, but Lionheart has been working on it for awhile so I hope them or someone else releases it soon.

yeah, I like turboprops as well. Not sure about the open cabin if I was actually flying customers but for your own family, yes it would be nice.

Since there aren’t enough redundant systems, I doubt you’ll see one flying regular scheduled routes. You’re more likely to see this in the corporate aviation scene, or maybe some kind of high-end air taxi service.

Agreed but they, the passengers, are still customers, corporate or not. Still, it matters not as it is a SIM!

I would still love a good quality and not a MS/Asobo Lancair Legacy with a GNS 530 in it for my G.A. flying. That is all I ever flown in FSX made by Realair for G.A. flying.

Now with the Black Square Starship about to be released it’d be cool to see someone make a Scaled Composites White Knight and Spaceship One so I can recreate this picture

I’d love to also have a mission to climb up and launch Spaceship One and watch it climb

That’s sexy. I hope it gets released soon.

Hi,

I think A2A is working on an Aerostar.
If it is on the same level of quality as their Piper Comanche, then it will be something to look out for.

This!!!

Max out the ground effect lift, minimize the cruise lift, both props animated to the same engine with the thrust located in the center - done! It wouldn’t even need an autopilot unless you just add something for heading hold.

Modern hovercraft-ish boat/plane? Love the thing, would be serious fun!
