My request is for a simple shallow draft motorboat. The boats offered in the market place are too big for rivers and streams and the canoe while very nice is very slow. There was once a sort of mid last century Criscraft type boat but I think it has been abandoned.
There is so much to see we need a water variant of the Juice Goose.
So as not to be defamed I would also like an up to date Beech 18.
I have a wishlist thread in which I’m asking for small watercraft and personal vehicles to be added complement the flying portion without loading a new vehicle and sim session. This would be something that could be “dropped” after a flight for further exploration of the world in avatar/walkaround mode before jumping back in the parked aircraft and resuming the flight.
This is a picture I copied from “Marko - X crafts” in an email he sent to show how much time it takes a dev to make functionality in a cockpit. I am sure it is no different for the devs in MSFS 20/24.
“But just for the fun of it, here is a partial list of tasks that are necessary to complete a project, and each one of them comprises of many subtasks.
Research the aircraft inside and out
Model the exterior and interior
Prepare the models to be textured (UV Unwrapping)
Texture every surface
Fix all textures once you see how they look in the sim
Animate all moving parts
Generate night lighting and ambient occlusion
Remodel it to fit the other newly modeled parts of the airplane
Research the aircraft systems
Create the flight models
Record and create the sounds
Design and implement every single element of the avionics
Create and configure all the clickable manipulators
Fine-tune things for VR
Remodel it because you realized the manuals did not have the correct scale
Implement or develop all the autopilot systems
Create additional liveries
Fine-tune the autopilot and autothrottles
Develop the FMS
Spend days trying to fix unexplainable crashes
Talk to real pilots and discuss the functionalities
Iterate to improve your systems and features
Implement 3rd-party solutions
Fix bugs, fix bugs, fix bugs
Change your code to work with a certain hardware
Rework your code to adapt to new sim updates
Develop the user interface, like tablets, menu,s and more
Change your assets to improve performance
Implement limitations to prevent users from doing something stupid
Beta test, beta test, beta test”
Let’s us give the 3rd party DEVS a hearty Thank-you
So just based off the numbers given in the photo that’s 6 people working full time for a year. Or 3 people working for 2 years, while generating no income until it’s released. First impressions matter and can be the difference between a must buy product and a “I’ll wait for some updates”. Hats off to the devs, I don’t think most will ever realize the amount of work that goes into getting a product out and supporting it. All for basically a video game
Totally agree - I was just taking out my calculator to do the maths you have just done . So I will support the devs with purchases of quality products (and only the quality ones!).
@FusionHorse151 Flipper as in the 1960s tv show “Flipper” staring a variety of dolphins alongside humans like Luke Halpin and Tommy Norden (who played the brothers Sandy and Bud Ricks).
The 737-200…. well… how long is a milviz peice of string… Unless you top them and do the full 737-100/200/freighter originals package..
I would absolutely love to fly a air nz 737-200 or Ansett NZ 737-100
A good turboprop passenger plane is majorly missing in the game…
Going off your “genre” of the best of britishplanes.. why not a J32 or a Hs748!! Those would be an absolute cracker of a plane in msfs 2024 with your great works of art..
Even a Metro aka pencil plane would be amazing!!
You gotta admit…. A metro looking like that is one exy looking aircraft that has msfs 2024 written all over it…
Go on Nightmercury358 make us a metro with the air nz link livery like that.. that will sell like hot metros cakes…
IT IS DECIDED !!
