Which Vision Jet is better: FlightFX MS 2020 version or Asobo's MSFS 2024 version?

Dear all,

Which Vision jet is better: the FlightFX MS 2020 Vision Jet or the Asobo MSFS 2024 Vision Jet?

Did somebody did a good comparison?

Can you please list the differences and share which Vision Jet you like better, and why?

If anyone has information on this, please do let me know.

Greetings,

Boudewijn Nijssen

Moved to Discussion Hub > Aircraft that is more appropriate based on the question, since not a support request.

The 2024 VisionJet is developed by FlightFX and there is a link on their website for downloading the SF50 Manual :+1:

It’s the same aircraft in 2020 and 2024, from the same developer.

It most definitely is NOT the same. FFX sold the model to MS/Asobo, who made several changes and got Working Title to redo the systems as far as we know. There is at least one other thread on this forum that lists the differences (such as checklist functionality, the tablet etc). Just today this was on tge FFX discord:

I still prefer the FFX 2020 version for a few mostly inconsequential differences.

Takeoffs in the 2024 version are a little squirrelly. The aircraft moves a lot and takes more effort than I think it should to hold center line. Perhaps a good adjustment to rudder trim would rectify that, but it gives me problems.

There are only 4 liveries in the 2024 version available, to the best of my knowledge, while many more come with the 2020 version.

I cannot find the aircraft initialization screen in the 2024 version, while it’s easily available in the 2020 version. Just a little thing, but I like to go thru the start-up steps before a flight.

In external view, the cockpit lights are visible for about a half second then go out in the 2024 version, another bug that has not been squashed to date. No such issue with the FFX version.

The Vision Jet is a joy to fly and has been my main and only aircraft to fly since it came out from FFX. It still flies great in 2024, and for the time being I prefer it over the 2024 version for the reasons stated, though as I said those are very inconsequential reasons.

Hello all,

Thanks for all the comments.

But is there some more specific information, perhaps on which one flies better, or more realistic?

My own opinion was that the FlightFX Vision Jet MSFS 2020 was very easy to fly and land, perhaps the easiest plane that I flew in MSFS 2020. Perhaps a bit too easy? So is this realistic?

So which flightmodel of the two Vision Jet versions is better or more realistic?

If anyone knows, please let me know.

Hello all,

Did FlightFX officially state somewhere that their MSFS 2020 Vision Jet is compatible with MSFS 2024?

Because I have not read that anywhere. I only read ‘that it is working’ in MSFS 2024. But I did not see any official statement of the developer FlightFX about the compatibility.

Has anyone see that official statement yet?

I believe the most “official” statement was posted in reply to your other thread earlier
