White dot visible since 1.33.3.0 (fixed on PC beta 1.34.11.0)

Having made a long flight now, yes it can intermittently com back but at least with legacy one can interact properly with the cockpit using the mouse.

Try under General Options, Accessibility, set “Cockpit Interaction System” to Legacy if you’re on a PC, doesn’t get rid of it all the time but you should get control back.

Hi everyone. I saw it for the first time flying the PMDG DC6 in VR with Reverb G2 3090 card and i910850K I knew that I was already in legacy mode so I changed to lock saved and then changed back to legacy and saved again. The white dot of doom has disappeared. For this workaround thank you thank you.

The problem persist. Hotas X52 pro, but when disconnect it the problem is gone. Put it again the problem is back No way to solve the problem.Tried everything. MSFS needs a hotfix to solve this problem, I think,

Just got this bug for the first time. It made the cockpit impossible to interact with as it kept flashing between dot and cursor and I couldn’t click anything. Eventually it just changed back to a cursor by itself. No idea why.

I think it’s a huge mistake to wait for the next sim update to fix this - it’s actually a game-breaking bug when it happens.

It’s disappointing my questions have gone unanswered by the moderators with regards to this severe issue, the same moderators who we are not allowed to tag as per the forum rules…does not make sense to me but that is not the problem.

I guess we just have to live with the bug and hope it’s fully fixed in the next Sim Update, on closing and my final comment on this thread I find the approach to this issue alarming and lack of urgency to fix let alone discuss the issue as very very poor. I expect better.

Thank you

I havent even completed a single flight leg in MSFS since this bug appeared with AAU2 update because it is GAME BREAKING and impossible to interact with your controls using a mouse. Unfortunately, it seems I’m not going to play the game at all until it is fixed.

Which looks like being September’s SU13 at best. A very poor show by Microsoft/Asobo to leave such a distracting, visual bug until then.

My fingers are crossed so hard they will hotfix in a couple of weeks when they track down what they broke… I’m sure it won’t be announced it will just get updated and be gone one day! I’m guessing it had something to do with HOTAS’/joysticks now being able to control menus…

This is SO ANNOYING anytime I move my peripherals and go back to mouse I get the white dot. I couldn’t close a window while flying the H125 the other day because my inputs on my cyclic and mouse were “cancelling” each other out. :man_shrugging:t2:

The only time I got the white dot cursor before was when I actually used my Xbox controller or the cursor mode on my TBV1. Now it’s constant anytime I switch from a peripheral control back to my mouse.

This is redicilous. Where is the hot fix for the white dot issues??? Nothing mentioned in dev ipdate. no hotfix? This will take until September? Where is your communication about this.???

Hi fols, as posted before in this topic turning Cockpit interaction system from locked to legacy solves the problem for now, at leat with me.

Under General Options, Accessibility, set “Cockpit Interaction System” to Legacy

This removes the white dot and also mouse events get through to the aircraft

An Xbox solution would be good too - I use a controller for view but keyboard and mouse for controls and it’s frustrating

I get the the bug pretty bad in terms of not being able to click (formal name morbus macula alba) and I don’t have an Xbox controller plugged in or have ever had the Cockpit Interaction System on anything other than Legacy.

I guess I could try toggling it back and forth and saving? I’ll give that a go. :four_leaf_clover:

Game still broken since the latest update. Switching to Legacy mode isn’t fixing unfortunately

PC version with Saitek and mouse/KB…I’ve been in “Legacy” mode always. The white dot is intermittent and when it is happening, switching to “Locked” or back to “Legacy” has no effect on my install. 40th Anniversary Edition Premium Deluxe. This started for me after SU12.

Posted several days ago about this. Issue is still happening, legacy mode makes things somewhat workable but it is not a fix (there is still obviously some conflict occurring between the white dot and the mouse control). It causes the cursor to basically flash on and off. Seriously annoying and frustrating. I want to add my voice saying that this should be hot fixed. After this, I hope to NEVER ever see this annoying white dot again.

Certainly, I would like to know how much time we will have to coexist with this problem? It is almost impossível to fly with this problem. All advices I tried no way to solve the problem. Hope hotfix soon!!!

This is really annoying. Mouse control is almost impossible.
A hotfix is the only right thing to do.
The customer is really not happy now .
