Whittaker MW6

Here’s a exterior shot of my Whittaker MW6, it will be payware but on the lower end of the scale

It may not be for everyone as its quite slow but really good for sight seeing.

That’s an interesting place to put an engine! Nice to see you developing for MSFS. I’ve used a fair few of your freeware stuff for the older sims over the years and will mostly likely check this out. Cheers!

That’s the first thing I noticed as well. I would expect this layout to be incredibly top heavy and unstable. That looks like a four-cylinder boxer engine. Probably weighs more than the rest of the plane  But this Mr. Whittaker probably knows more about aircraft than I do

Reminds me of the FlightStar I used to fly. After successfully flying GA, that was the hardest aircraft I ever piloted. The specific one I flew had a very stiff throttle, making it near impossible to make gentle power corrections on final. For those not familiar with that type, see this video (not the specific one I flew). https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/_WvlbZveYwQ

My computer crashed on Monday. When it comes back from the shop, I will look forward to trying this. Is this a one-off, or are you going to release more ultralights? The Quad City Challenger would be a good contender.

I have another light aircraft that’s 70% done, which is the Zippy Sport powered by a Rotax engine but a little quicker than the MW6 and more agile.

I had not heard of this one. Had a quick look online for it. Will let you know when I am able to fly your first release. Greetings from the Canadian prairie.

I just went onto your website. I am sure I had a few of your aircraft in FSX. I go back a bit further than you. I was one of the first third party developers for FS. I was making instrument panels even before the aircraft design programs existed. Then, when people could design their own aircraft, my team started to grow and became The VIP Group with products in the stores globally. That was a long time ago, and the business closed 20 years ago. My last product was a multimedia CD for the Quad City Challenger.

WOW I remember your name now! I started back with BAO flight shop. I might have to look at the QCC now…

If you do look into the Challenger, I will see if I can get back in touch with the Canadian distributor who assisted me greatly in creating and promoting the CD back then. Private message me and we can keep this chat going outside the forum.

any plans to update or redo that wonderful HE-51 you made for FSX?

Yes at some point I’ll redo the textures to full PBR.
