Why am I seeing a 30GB Update when I start MSFS

This just started after the insert disc fiasco. Why does MSFS need a 30 GB update now?

yes, I also got a 30 GB update, but when I mentioned it a few hours ago, everone said they were not getting one, so I assumed my PC had had a stroke and lost some files .. maybe not after all …

Did you run the update, and did everything work OK after that?

Yes, all seems ok Now – even restored all my setting, logbook & license codes from a backup, so I am back up an running again.

It does seem that some of the Files in OFFICIAL “may” have got updated from what they were when SU9 was first installed back on 4/29/2022.

I really don’t know – but at least MSFS is running again, and not crashing…

So you just ran the update and everything was fixed?

sigh .. it was an hour ago .. no it cannot get my licence again .. time to call it a night / weekend ..
