Why are there no collisions with buildings? The plane is not a ball 
I’ve collided with buildings and crashed. Perhaps you have crashing turned off in your assistance settings.

Don’t suppose I should boast about it though 
That depends whether it happened in the course of a regular flight or if you were messing about or doing stunt flying. The latter is when I had my crashes. Flying the Extra 300 at under 100 feet down the streets of Manhattan or San Francisco presents some serious hazards that can’t always be avoided.
