Description of the issue:

The wind turbines in the North Sea have a circle of vegetation underneath the tower. It looks as if the foundation is made of trees.

I was hoping there will be a patch before someone notices :flushed:
Sorry about that. It was a simple misspelling of a value. We had it fixed but missed the deadline a little.
I can’t tell when our fixed version will be included, but rest assured that it will be fixed.
Also we’re working on adding yellow support structures for offshore turbines.

Again sorry for this embarrassing error. That’s solely on me.

At least we know that is ONE bug that will be fixed pronto…loved your work in 2020 Puffin…made a huge improvement to the sim.

Your work is much appreciated! Please don’t take this as an attack. Many of us see the beauty of this sim already! And the work you guys are doing is spectacular. Once the first few updates and patches are in this is going to be insane.

Hoping people don’t notice seems to be Asobo’s approach to bugs and other issues.

Acknowledging them and apologising definitely isn’t though, and your honesty is much appreciated.

Wow, thats some great support. Letting us know it is fixed and patch is soon, I was kinda loosing hope to be fair, not due to this minor problem but in general how things where going. I was about to refund (again, not due to the Wind Turbines! I haven’t even seen them tbh.) and this post somehow twisted my mood a lot!! Hah, crazy how it can go.

That’s a lot of responsibility you put on me :wink: I can speak just as a 1st party partner, but I honestly think that under current issues there is a great sim waiting, and once major issues are resolved it will bring a lot of joy to players.
In terms of “soon” I just want to specify it a bit more. I have no idea when updates to our package will be available in the sim. Part of our package is waiting for performance testing so it blocks other fixes. I just can assure you that it will be fixed for sure.

Oh, i’m sure it will be great and it can also look amazing (by far the best graphics in any flight simulator). And no need for me to repeat all problems, i’m sure most of you are well aware of those… Your post just made me just feel more positive.

I know saying a time when a patch will be available is uncertain atm., no problem with that.

The trees are not terrain. It’s just vegetation exclusion polygon with a typo in density variable.
In this case exclusion rectangles should work. If Mamu is aware that they’re not working then he most likely reported it on dev support. I’ll check it out and do the same. Unfortunately it’s nothing I can fix myself.

So as far as I’m concerned, it can be closed here. There is no news so far. The error has been identified and is known, let’s wait until it is fixed. Many thanks to the entire development team for this absolutely outstanding flight simulator. You are the best :+1:
