I am interested in a panel for flying primarily the Fenix A3XX planes (and often in VR) where I can easily and quickly change the dials for altitude, heading, speed, etc. The Winwing FCU looks exactly like the Airbus panel and seems great but, if I get into other aircraft, the Stream Deck + seems much more configurable. They are both around the same price although the Winwing FCU seems to be on backorder. Any recommendations?
Oh, also on Amazon (Spain) there is also what appears to be a clone of the Stream Deck + by Mars Gaming. It’s almost half the price. Anyone with any experience with that?
I’ve just ordered from Winwing, reviews are good. You kind of answered your own question though. If you want immersion, WW is your best choice. If you want more configurable options, Stream Deck is your best choice. Personally i dislike the latter because it’s layout is not related to aviation.
I personally went with Stream Deck Plus, the immersion is still great even though it’s not primarily designed with a flight simulator in mind. However, my decision was also influenced by a few factors: 1. I constantly move between two countries, so my PC is a gaming laptop, and SD+ is a good size to take with. 2. At home I’m limited by space on my desk. 3. I’m also limited by my girlfriend who can accept the SD+’s modern looking design more than an Airbus panel imitation in the living room, lol. 4. I fly many aircraft, not only Airbuses (Boeings, MD’s, CRJ’s, ERJ’s, Just Flight airplanes like RJ’s and Fokker etc.) and in this regard the SD+ is more versatile. The minus is that even though there are many free panels for the SD if you really want nice looking panels then get your wallet ready for Flight Panels’ products where one panel costs slightly below 20 eur.
I also own WinWing PFP 3N which I use together with Stream Deck + and I’m happy with this combo.
I have the WW FCU and MCDU with a Mobiflight profile, love it! I also have a Stream Deck Plus that I use for the Comm panel. I too fly in VR but mostly just the Airbus jets or GA.
