Did you try using it ? I did just to try it out last night. It was the longest simbrief route calculation ever! I ended up cancelling it. It was a long route that went over the pole though. Something to keep in mind - Simbrief bottlenecks.
From where to where?
I know thereâs probably no runway long enough to take off from given fuel weight that would be required, but if you put in any UK airport north of EGLL, so say EGCC to NZAA, you get some very northerly routes suggested. But to the east over northern Russia and and to the west way to the north of Greenland. I may jusy have hit simbrief at a busy time last night too!
Thatâd be a shortest route around the globe, a great circle as it were.

SImbrief was grinding to a halt though. Iâve never seen the timer on it increment the time then get stuck before. I could imagine some severâs CPU at 100%. Maybe it was just a busy time. Itâll certainly be busy calculating A380 routes this weekend.

As you said earlier, it was probably just creaking under the strain of all the demand and it does have to do a lot of work on long routes.

Youâll probably find Simbrief is having to calculate these routes from scratch as it has no irl example flight plans to use which is why its taking longer.
Most A380 flights from Manchester & Glasgow are straightforward ones to Dubai.

Nothing available here yet. So 31/10 must be tomorrow for us folks on an island in the middle of nowhere. 
I did at least update the A320 to the latest version, havenât used it for a long time.
the FBW A320 has received the new FMS and performance calculator. its allright. light on fps. bear with the FBW team, they are kinda busy with their other plane.
plan is what i read to enhance the A320Neo further with eg 2nd flightplan, FLS, independent FMS etc. mid to long term new model of the aircraft.
maybe real NEO features like OANS (hoping).

Is the release delayed to 2 november or is it coming today?
You are either meant to 1. fervently keep reloading their discord & installer app all day or 2. go chill out somewhere for 24 hrs until the release & download feeding frenzy is over.

I donât think Iâve seen so much anticipation for any plane in flight simulator.
Itâs just an indication of how long Flight Sim has been crying out for a decent A380 that isnât just a pretty shell with default everything else. And theyâve finally broken the drought.

I canât keep up with all the chat on their discord. Itâs wild.
If I was to take a guess Iâd say maybe they release it like MS/Asobo does at 16:00 UT/GMT - so at 8am Pacific, 11am Eastern all the way to midnight in Western Australia.
That way you cover max # of people around the world who are awake (to varing degrees!) at the time.
16:00 GMT is not midnight in Eastern OZ its 2am the next day. In the interests of fairness it would be nice once in a while if it wasnât always us that got the raw deal on release times.
Sorry I meant Western AU. Itâs just a guess. NZ & Eastern AU are at the bleeding edge of the calendar though! But I can sympathise. I feel the same when we have to wait for stuff (in GMT timezone) when it is released middle of the day US/Pacific time.
Most releases are simply timed to suit the majority of the player base which sadly isnât Australia!

I reckon they should absolutely ditch with tradition and go for a Saturday 0900nzt just be real random. 
It will really help people like BragRaindrop933 to be able to do a full 24 hour bender and depart Auckland to Glasgow via UAE
