First, let me say thank you for the incredible work you’ve done with MSFS 2024. The simulator continues to amaze me, and I deeply appreciate all the improvements and attention to detail you’ve brought to this experience.
I’d like to share a long-term suggestion that I understand may not be a current priority and might even be technically challenging—but I thought it would be worth mentioning in case it’s feasible in the future:
Would it be possible to add surface tension to water in the simulator?
Currently, water surfaces don’t seem to have the physical properties that would allow certain aircraft, like bush planes (e.g., the Draco X), to perform maneuvers such as water skiing, which these planes can do in real life. It’s a niche feature, but it would add an extra layer of realism and fun for those of us who love flying STOL and bush planes.
I fully understand that this might not be possible right now or that it could take significant resources to implement. I just wanted to put the idea out there for consideration as a potential addition down the road.
Thank you again for all your hard work and for making MSFS such an incredible experience for aviation enthusiasts around the world!
To the community: What do you think about this idea? Are there other features related to water physics you’d love to see?
+1
Today you can actually sky on water because the water physics is not actually really improved over msfs2020, the planes still “float on wheels”. The most ridiculous being float planes raising on wheels when you put the gear out of the floats. The fact that they boasted on a live stream how much the water physics is improved only to be just to the level of a 2000 game is depressing.

Hello, thank you for your feedback and clarification!
I want to assure you that my intention was to focus on a single request: adding surface tension to water in the sim. The question at the end was simply meant to encourage discussion about this specific feature and gather perspectives from the community—it wasn’t an invitation to propose unrelated ideas or additional requests.
I appreciate the effort you and the team put into keeping the forums organized and helping us navigate the rules. Thank you again for your guidance!
