@SteveKane - I mean I’ve tried every angle/perspective there is and it is always way too huge. Almost comical to me.
Right, I can hide it but I prefer a view where I’m able to see the yoke move as I make movements on my actual yoke, for immersion. This is possible in all other aircraft, most look great. Just something oddly off with the CJ4 yoke size. Not sure how It did not stand out to anyone in development. Definitely impacts realism of the aircraft IMHO. Otherwise it’s one of my favorite aircraft.
Thanks flybeast. I’m getting it though. Definitely adds too many unnecessary waypoints even when using Little Navmap. But I’ve come a long way over the past few days anyway… taking advantage of the last few days “off” before heading back to a work year.
I think the answer may be “no,” but is it possible to change the the MFD display in the CJ4 from black to terrain, like the Working Title Garmin 1000/3000 mods? Or would that not be in with keeping the display as close to the actual display in the CJ4.
I would love to put that request on my official wish list!
I think that I should not write this reply but I am curious as to why put a lot of time in a plane that will change this month?
The new WT AAU1 is available in the Beta now.
The WT AAU1 will be released as the default CJ4 this month (Jan 2023).
Totally rebuilt and different from the WT CJ4 Mod.
Do you mean synthetic terrain display? Not going to happen because it doesn’t exist in the real aircraft.
You’re going to have to learn that, unlike other software, aircraft in flight sims aren’t made with “put in whatever feature you can that’s popular”. They are designed along realistic goals, i.e. matching whatever the real aircraft can do and no more.
This is the first time I am learning the CJ4 and its WT mod so any experience gained will be beneficial. That, and I just learned a few posts back that it’s changing but still, better to have some handle of how the CJ4 and its flight system works as the faster planes I’ve flown to date is the TBM 930.
dmapol, I mean a display like the WT G3000 that I use in the TBM 930. As mentioned, the answer is likely going to be a “no” if the displays are meant to be as close to the real thing as possible.
I’m not that experienced in flying, but I just signed up to try the Working Title AAu1 mod and for the most part. Aside from some small bugs (certain knobs not working on left MDR but working on co-pilot’s MDF, clicking sounds missing or faint on some knobs), overall, the upgrades is similar to WT 12.14 but huge display improvements!
I’m currently using the CJ4 WT mod(latest) in prep for the new CJ4 being released.
There is already much to learn from the current version.
Some of us don’t really want to be on the beta cycles. One hicup and a complete reinstall with my slowish fibre connection is not an option.
I’ll wait for and enjoy the avionics update when it arrives. In the meantime I’ll use the latest WT mod as a half way house.
Does anyone know why the Navigraph charts in the MFD display is cropped (presumably a differnet size), but there appears to be no method of scrolling chart when it is displayed. The 4 way hat switch does not seem to do anything for me, as it looks like that is what should scroll it. You can zoom in and out with the zoom switch, but not fully out if you know what I mean. Using the .14 latest WT mod.
Is it possible to permanently adjust the brightness of the PFD, perhaps making an adjustment in the flight_model.cfg or appropriate file? Or is there a way to save a brightness setting similar to using Mem1, Mem2, or Mem3.
I know I can adjust the brightness knobs for both PFD and MFD, but the default brightness is washed-out and too bright so I’m always having to adjust it down.
This thread is now deprecated. The legacy Working Title CJ4 (Community Folder Mod) is no longer supported.
Aircraft and Avionics Update No. 1 has integrated the Working Title CJ4 FMS into the core simulator code. For the new version Support thread, please see here:
