I was happy to see the first batch of World Hub updated airports released today. I don’t see anything about “release notes” for these airports, unless I missed it.

Can we use this as a thread for everyone to post what changes they’ve discovered at their favorite airport? If you are a contributor, feel free to let us know what you did

Good idea. Though there really should be change notes as to what exactly is entailed with these updates as nothing has been defined.

(I’m expecting stand, apron, taxiway, runway layouts and designations and missing buildings, but don’t know yet).

At the moment, those that are in the World Hub Alpha are able to search the airport and see what the user updated, which doesn’t help everyone see it right now, but I’m guessing in the future will be valuable when it’s public!

Reverse engineering KMDW by seeing how the scenery database read by Little Nav Map changes, it looks like the only visible change was removal of RW 13L/31R and renaming it Taxiway H, which now does match the airport diagram.

Are these submissions vetted in the same way as developer content? Especially when it comes to Xbox as we struggle with bloated content that uses too many resources.

Edits made in the World Hub are elements such as parking/jetway placements, runway and taxiway markings, etc.etc. It is not currently possible to create custom objects like hangars and terminal buildings. Any changes made are then vetted and checked before any public release, although not by the same team who vet 3rd party product submissions for the Marketplace.

I am assuming that these are minor mods made to the original stock airports and not related to any third party addon (which will likely have already made the changes).
I’d also guess that updating the scenery files in Little Navmap would also be required/a good idea. Away from the sim for a few weeks so cannot check just now myself.

Are the world hub updates coming with SU15 (so only beta users are seeing them) or are they available for anyone right now? Is an explicit download necessary or are the automatically installed?

No, FNMH in Angola. Airport name should be changed to Techamutete, as this is the name of the settlement, not Menongue!

I couldn’t find it via Google. I guess there is some discrepancy in the ICAO code in MSFS? Or they have duplicate names, but different ICAO’s. Not sure which one is correct. Wikipedia says Menongue is FNME, but MSFS says Menongue for both FNME and FNMH. So confusing
