World update 6 fixed the sim for me

The sim is now 100 percent stable for me, no stuttering when looking around, altitude detected by ATC is the correct altitude now, quality is way up on the mesh when flying at higher altitudes,FPS is stable, no pop in stuff!!!. I am completely satisfied with this update, please release updates like this from now on! If you have to delay the update to make sure is good please do so!

Excellent news! It sucks to hear the issues many are having, but its also great to see people having a wonderful experience!

Same here. I got back some of the eye candy and turbulence I was missing without sacrificing any performance. I can’t ask for any more than that.

Yeah, it’s a very good iteration. SU5 was basically getting all of the necessary chess pieces in place so they could push further in future updates with the extra head room. It’s even smoother now with the terrain precache!

^^^^^This! 100%

Hopefully people are finally beginning to understand that Asobo/MS needed to play the long game. With SU5 they were laying the groundwork for the future sim development. They needed to fix the performance to support xbox of course, but that also paved the way for a much improved experience for PC users too, and we are starting to see that now.

I think you are grossly overestimating some of our fellow simmer’s attention span

My sim works great now. I just saw one problem, the weather is off badly. when i look up the Atis is say clear weather, but in the sim. when i use live weather am getting bad weather with very bad turb. they need to work on the weather.

Nice update :+1:

Great to see a positive post. I’ve also been lucky.

My sim seems smoother. Currently locked at 30FPS 4K with all the eye candy at max.

Very Happy :+1:

Agree. Su5 was a big dissapointment for me and i’ve made some very negative topics/posts about su5 and earlier su’s and wu’s.

Wu6 finally feels like a step in the right direction again. It still comes with some new bugs though (with the night lighting being the worst one imo) but performance is now way more stable and the scenery popping is reduced to almost 0. Without the cost of any fps in my case.

Instead of going 1 step forward and 2 steps back this update is more like 2 steps forward and 1 step back. I hope Asobo is now focussing more again towards the core of the sim now the xbox release is done.

Give it a day!

Yeah!! I don’t know what had happened but turbulence are back, and I love it!
Yesterday I flew over Tenerife and England while windy and that rocked the DC6 quite seriously, I had to compensate quite a lot while turning not to go over 30º bank.

The pre-caché has been a blessing as well, now I really have 0 stutters.

Exactly my thoughts, some were experiencing tons of issues with crashes, and object culling caused those stutters and popping when panning the camera around, but the potential was there, and WU has refined all those rough edges.

I hope from now on they can just concentrate on patching small bugs and adding content now that the core of the programming is finally working really well.

How did you manage to update. When i start the game its pushing me to the store stating a new mandatory update is available. Unfortunately it does not finding any update files in the store just saying you good to go all updated. Is there any cache i need to delete???

Have you tried installing the XBox App via windows store? If not, do it, open that, and try again.

Do you find 30 ok over long flights say 2 hours plus?

I use 40 but my gpu temps are a little high and want to use 30 as it does cause more heat the more frames one is pushing through

I’m going to try tonight but at work at the moment

If you fly at night just use render scaling 100, not more, not less, and lights will work just fine. Hotfix incoming btw.
