Another Orbx city scenery (Frankfurt) might be caught in a World Update. Hmm.
Common Asobo lets move out of Europe. Plenty needs to be done in Asia, middle east, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

As happy as i am to see that germany is getting updates… to be true other regions of the world would need that updates much more…
Most people are flying in the so called western countries, and so i get the choices…
It would be great if Bing would provide alternating one popular region and then one “not so popular” - even my own wording sounds wrong…

Only embarrassing thing is that they put the Tarasp Castle near Scuol in the “Austria” Part of the preview…
Way more important to me is the hope that they will eliminate those huge parts of photoground taken in winter in Switzerland and Austria, which totally ruins immersion when flying around. But sadly, if you consider how almost nothing was done regarding satellite imagery in the last WU, I guess this will remain a unfullfilled hope…

Well, they mentioned new satellite images for DACH region and at some point the goal is to have 5cm resolution world wide.
Theres still hope.

I hope they really manage to get those satellite images. I do not really need a better resolution, I would already be happy with full DACH region covered with the current resolution but without hard winter photoground, this is just…

In P3D I use a 4m DEM from FranceVFR (created for FSX). I wonder if this could be adapted to MSFS. Probably it would be there already, right?

Guys, you cant expect regions to be completed just because you want it. Jorg plainly stated it depends on the data thats available, and then negotiations between them and governments. I hope to see Canada done soon too, but I think this may be held up for external reasons.
That said, glad Switzerland is getting attention cause my high rise building doesnt exist in Zürich so its clearly missing data.

In case Asobo reads this - I am living close to LOWK - one of the airports announced to be featured in the next world update.
I just wanted to inform you, that the two big, old hangars on the east side of the apron have been removed a couple of months ago. This is probably not featured on any satellite imagery yet. So in case you are interested in material to depict the current situation, I could provide you with pictures.

Yes, the demolition of the two hangars in LOWK is documented here, for example. Sad!

However: For nostalgic reasons, I would keep the two hangars at MSFS. After all, we don’t know whether and which buildings will be built on the vacant sites. Plans for this already exist, but whether and when they will be realized is currently unknown.

For me absolutely fantastic News. And I do hope that one of the City’s being updated will be Hamburg, as I live there. Hamburg has more Bridges then Venezia, Amsterdam and London all together, more then 2500. The Harbor City is UNESCO world heritage, Hamburg has the third busiest Harbor in Europe and many many more interesting POI´s. So please let it happen.
