World Updates, how do these affect purchased enhancements?

I’ve got a few purchased environment enhancements and am wondering what happens in the case of an official update.

For example, I have the Las Vegas City and Airport enhancement pack from the Marketplace and also most of the ORBX UK enhancement packs.

I had to disable the Las Vegas City part of the enhancement pack to see the official changes that were released recently, will I have to do the same with ORBX’s UK packs?

The more reputable developers will adjust their products accordingly, to accommodate each World Update. Presumably you have FlyTampa’s KLAS pack? There is already a compatibility update available, however if you bought from the in-sim Marketplace you’ll have to wait a bit longer (I imagine it will be tonight).

Orbx similarly update their work once a new WU is released, however they do tend to be much slower. But they get there eventually!

I don’t think there are currently any issues with Orbx’s GB packs. I’ve certainly noticed nothing untoward but I’m not sure if they were released pre- or post-UK WU. It tends to just be slight elevation issues, where the accuracy of the terrain has been improved, causing the odd object to perhaps float or appear misplaced by a few feet. Of course where new PG conflicts with custom POIs, the problems become more noticeable, and the work required for the fix more extensive.

Ah cheers, that makes sense - yes it’s the FlyTampa Vegas pack that I have and I also purchased via the Marketplace so I guess it’ll be updated soon :+1:

There’s been more than a few that never update them, but I have faith in FT. If they take too long or don’t update their stuff, I just never buy anything from them until they fix what I own.
