World's longest-range aircraft, the Airbus A350-1000ULR takes to the skies

Would love to see this in MSFS 2024.

Absolutely, Inibuilds?
In the meantime maybe an A350 Qantas livery from Inibuilds. This is the next frontier of flight the longest commercial flight of all time, I hope they are considering it

Some friends recently flew to Japan on an A350-900.
14 hours from Atlanta to Tokyo.

Just for kicks I looked up the specs on that one:

What stood out most was the two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engine’s 84,000 lbf (370 kN) of thrust each.

And the -1000 variant will have 97,000 lbf (370 kN). :face_with_crossed_out_eyes:

Compare that to the 737 MAX and its CFM International LEAP-1B28, with 28,690 lbf (127.6 kN) thrust each. Airliner engines are pretty amazing.

Amazing! I remember, as a kid, I heard a different sound overhead. I looked up at the first jet airliner I had ever seen on its landing approach, likely a 707. We’ve come a long way since then. Can’t say I would enjoy a 22 hour flight.

I have traditionally used EK415 and EK089 for my flights to Europe as I would get an overnight stopover in Dubai, so I’m perfectly adjusted to the European time when I get to Geneva (I go to France from there). But that’s now out of the window with what’s happening in the home region of Emirates. I remember one time the Emirates staff looked at the long stopover in Dubai and were eager to help me avoid that, until I explained my reasoning.

I’m not sure I’d enjoy this long of a non-stop flight from Sydney all the way to Europe or the UK.

At least on an A380 you can get up and walk around a bit, go to the bar at the back, and it is really silent. Of all the planes I have flown on, I prefer the A380 for the comfort factor.

I’ve been in first class on Emirates 777 as well, that is very nice, but not quite the same thing.

Let’s see what Qantas charges for flying on this… I’m sure there will be a big price premium for skipping over the usual hub airports. Rival airlines will be watching carefully.
