YSSY Sydney International Airport v1.4.0, an update to v1.5.0 is now available in Orbx Central.

YSSY add-on and Sydney city look awesome! I reinstalled the ORBX Sydney cityscape and took the 172 for a long flight and Iā€™m not seeing clashes, unless Iā€™m going blind.

Cityscape Sydney is still at version 1.1.1 and I havenā€™t seen an update announced for it in this thread: Compatibility news regarding World Update VII - Australia - General Discussion - Orbx Community and Support Forums

Weā€™re currently working on making the three city products compatible with the World Update.

You might see two Sydney Harbour Bridges or two Sydney Tower Eyes or other duplications with it installed.

i wish Asobo would have talked to ORBX when the decided to do the Aussie updateā€¦ they made a mess of the orbx payware with the conflicts .Adelaide scenery pack is a classic example

but some of the PG scenery is pretty good imho its just a shame it conflicts with orbx in a terrible way

Adelaideā€™s city pack was just recently updated by Orbx. I flew around with the drone camera just now, and Orbxā€™s scenery blends in a lot better now with the Asobo photogrammetry. Before today, Adelaideā€™s city center would be completely flat except for the Orbx buildingsā€¦so this is definitely an improvement. Hopefully Sydney and Brisbane will be updated soon.

Does it suffer from red wash (see Adelaide City - Red Wash for photos)?

I wonder if it still works well if we turn off the photogrammetry to fully use the Orbx scenery instead. Will it show empty patches where the photogrammetry should have filled in?

I prefer to have photogrammetry off because I keep getting horrible FPS drops with it on (even when Iā€™m not looking at them).

Unfortunately, yes. From what I understand, thatā€™s a Microsoft/Asobo issue and not an Orbx issueā€¦correct me if Iā€™m wrong. I noticed the red tint even before installing Adelaide scenery.

Not sureā€¦havenā€™t tried it. I can do a quick test when I fire up the sim next time and report back.

Ive noticed the fps taking a hit since the last update, globally.

World Update 7 = big msfs performance downgrade !!

Either that or all the payware I have requires updates. Iā€™ve had FPS drops at Liverpool, Stuttgart, Chicago, Sydney, Firenze andany others that I never had a problem with

no it is not, you need to apply the sound fix.

never heard of
having said that i am very suspicious that a ā€˜sound fixā€™ will change the amount of data the sim can load

What we are working on - 2022

working on it as quickly as we can. Adjusting hundreds of objects and polygons to match the new photogrammetry content is a major undertaking. Landmarks Adelaide was rather straightforward by comparison :blink:
