According to the X Cub website the X Cub cruise speed is 145 mph. In game I can cruise at 105 with AP on. If I am flying the plane trimmed out for level cruise flight, I get around 95. Anyone know what’s going on here?
Just wondering if it’s KNOTS vs MPH. Haven’t flown the Cub yet, what is the ASI scale in?
Good point. But even in knots, 145 mph = 126 knots. What is an ASI scale?
Yep, it has problems. It’s real shame too, it’s a neat little plane. The sim version isn’t anywhere close to its real life counterpart. Under powered, attempting to climb at 1500 fpm (real aircraft’s optimal climb rate) will result in a stall. It’s max speed and cruise speed are all way below spec. Hopefully people will report it as a bug with Zendesk and maybe we can get it fixed. Right now it’s more like an overweight Super Cub with a glass cockpit.
ASI = Air Speed Indicator
I’ll have to give it a try… so little time, so many things to do!
The X Cub has a garmin glass cockpit. So I don’t know what the ASI scale is.
Haha. I appreciate the help, though
I opened a ticket for this issue. The company website says the X Cub can climb at 1500 fpm and in game it stalls at 1500 fpm.
